It was actually difficult for me to listen to hear the emotions in his voice you can really hear how much his parents meant to him. And awesome how much he’s overcome. Pretty dang cool he shared it with us. Hope everyone’s happy and in good health happy holidays and .... everything taste better raw ha ha 😜

Did I just listen to this crazy stuff? Yep. I did. And loved it. I think I wanna date Herbie. But that last bit where he is expressing losing his parents, he stammers a little and my heart just broke for him bc I was also young when I lost my parents and watched them both die at home. Buckethead and I are the same age and we lost our parents about the same age. The hardest thing I've ever done was learning to live without them, especially my mom who was the only person who has ever understood me or ever will. Inheriting everything sucked bc I still live in the home where I lost them both. Aw, buckethead, you are funny but really a sweet and gentle man. Thanks.

Thanks. He doesn't talk much, if at all, on Bucketheadland 2. Those Unemployment Blues songs and Can you help me etc aren't him, a common mistake people make. Woo!!
@kurglekreutzer63445 жыл бұрын
@@NatterNet Hmmm that is strange, those and many other bits on that record sound like, "The Ballad of the Inside-Out Face", which seems to have Herbie as the singer. If that is so - and it does sound like it would be him - then there would be a lot of Bucket-talk to be found on that record, but who knows, Buckethead is indeed a man of many mysteries and things are often not what they seem. Cheers.
@NatterNet5 жыл бұрын
All those vocals are credited as 'albert', whenever Buckethead speaks they are credited as 'Herbie'. The speech patterns seem very different too. But, as you said, who knows. Albert is credited on a bunch of albums as a producer too. So it could be some unknown guy, or maybe P-sticks. Another glorious mystery I guess. Woo!!
@kurglekreutzer63445 жыл бұрын
@@NatterNet That is interesting. I read on some Buckethead site (I think it was Bucketheadland wiki) that it was the only song credited to Herbie on that album (everything else was credited to "unknown man" or perhaps Bootsie), but honestly I don't know how that Wiki would know if it is Buckethead or not and then not know the other speakers in their proper places? (at least they didn't have any sources) It really seems like one of those Buckethead's unsolvable mysteries. What was new to me also was that I didn't know that Albert has been credited as a producer on a bunch of Buckethead albums, which I think it is great, because it opens up all kinds of scenarios, if one can assume that Albert is not always the same person (then again it could be). It would be really cool to hear from Buckethead or from those people around him, how he uses those other names and if there has been some unnamed guests etc. that have passed by unnoticed in this way. Cheers and thanks.
@NatterNet5 жыл бұрын
The back of the album lists Albert as singer on tracks 9, 13, 16, 25, 29, Herbie isn't credited at all. Albert gets a mention as producer all the way up the early Pike albums. So whoever Albert is, he's been around for a long time. Woo!!

Damn. It just reminds me, the slaughterhouse and stuff, when I was 22 I worked in a poultry factory, packing chickens and we / I actually packed meat for KFC. I don't know, it might not put me in Buckethead's "good books". 😅

Small pie. Six inches in diameter... four u.s. dollars. I used to quote that scene ALL the time! Bwahaha... AHH! THE PIECES!!! I feel like you're just tormenting me with that now. XDDD The Coming Alive interview got to me in many ways. I'm glad he did that, because it inspired and continues to inspire me to be my very best.

Haha that freezer scene is soooo quotable. even Buck at the end: "its cold in here"..."yes sir, its a freezer" haha. And yeah, that interview was great, if it was with Joe Rogan, Joe would've been talking DMT and eating elk and Buck would've been out of there

Yeah that guy's sass cracked me up! Still does actually. When Bucket says, "is that a cheesecake?" And he turns around with the 😐 look on his face! 😂😂😂 Hey, hey, hey, hey now. I'm curious to know what elk would taste like. Though uh... I don't think I'd be brave enough to try taking one down. 😂😳 and yeah, JRE is not the place I would expect to see Buckethead.

When Buckethead says in that interview how intense and emotional things have been and thats depend his playing. really speaks too me.I'm a guitar player and have ptsd from past trauma and totally understand where he is coming from.

Does someone know the song playing throughout the video like for example in 2:03? Thanks!
@mr.krinkle81732 жыл бұрын
theory: buckethead was eating at his local kfc when a near-dead chicken attacks him and takes off his head. The chicken then dons a mask, a wig, and puts the bucket on his head as a reminder of his persistence. Buckethead's real head is carried around by the chicken, but only speaks when needed.

@@NatterNet awww man. That's crazy that, he can be such a celebrity and yet no one even knows what he looks like. Meaning he can go out in public and never worry about being mobbed or even questioned by a single person about his music or himself or anything. That's crazy. And I bet he loves every second of it.
