@RollinCoco-Nut Haha no need to add insult to injury; it's only been a few short years since we were on the receiving end. That had to be the most infuriating game to watch from the other side. Ryan Day just mentally blacks out against Michigan. I won't be surprised if you win a couple playoff games; that's how good your team is. Everything Ryan Day has done against other teams this year, including being aggressive, he did the opposite. It was baffling to watch. The rivalry is in his head big time. Anyway, Cheers, good luck in the playoffs. I don't want to see oregon or an sec team win it. I'll root for you guys and Indiana.

Does football bring any joy to OSU fans? They seem to be perpetually angry and dissatisfied. They had a QB last year with a 66% completion rate, 24 TDs and 6 interceptions in his first year as a starter. Yet, OSU fans seemed to have only hostility for him and ran him out of town. Ryan Day seems to be the conduit for the day to day misery of living in Ohio. Maybe OSU fans should stop blaming individuals, like Ryan Day, Kyle McCord, Connor Stalions, Jim Harbaugh for their own problems. They should look for joy elsewhere, think about reading a book

11:08 Physicality took away OSU’s ability to become creative, and freed up the Michigan 2ndary to mix up zones and double… sometimes TRIPLE cover in zone for receiver that got into deeper routes. The OSU O-line couldn’t hold, QB was always under Michigan pressure… and, certainly Howard was beyond rocked and not right after the Paige hit. Everything was off rhythm… and, the game got sucked into OSU trying to out-Michigan Michigan. That’s why the 2nd half became scoreless for Ohio. Moore put together a perfect game plan and used enough game psychology to bait Day into playing the Michigan football game… and, won.

Idk if he was injured, but I think it was very obvious after he threw the second INT something was very off. Whether he was injured slightly concussed or just downright scared to make a mistake after that, he was a completely different and ineffective QB. Regardless of the reason, he was nowhere near 100%. It’s mind blowing Ryan Day continued to stick with him. I think Will has been a good QB for us this year for the most part but if it ever comes out that he was injured and knew he wasn’t as effective then I would say what an incredibly selfish move to keep yourself in the game and in all likelihood cost your teammates the game.

Yes, there were mistakes made during the game. But, looking at the big picture, why isn't this team ready to play Michigan at the end of November? You know the weather can be bad. You know they want to run the ball and shorten the game. You know they're going to play a soft zone defense, protect their secondary, and make you grind your way down the field. What's the mystery, here? The three of you can game plan for next year's game right now. With the playoff system, the chances of playing a game in bad weather just increase. It's inexcusable not to be prepared to play a grind-it-out game. Fricking use the fourth quarter of every game in September and October to work on the inside running game.

It's not so much running, as the lack of imagination and continuous, predictable handoffs to a standing-still back between the tackles that's the problem. The wide sweep play with Judkins shows how much more effective a ground game can be when you use the whole field AND string out the D. Option offices at good programs like us, Oklahoma, Alabama, etc. in the past were not slow and sluggish; they were explosive and often scored 50 or more ( see: OSU vs. UM, 1968). I'm not saying run the wishbone, i'm saying don't telegraph the handoff, keep the D guessing, and use your great speed

Very good analysis. Football is not supposed to be played safe. And offense is as much about misdirection as it is about smashmouth. OSU was one dimensional in this game. Smashmouth up the middle. Maybe when you think you are such big favorites, you stop being creative. And when you unexpectedly discover you are in a real fight, you tighten up in response and screw up. Still, it was a very close game in which one missed tackle late decided it. And also two missed field goals - how did that happen? But the effort to get the tying field goal was just pathetic.

When Jason Avant picked up the flag, he was attacked multiple times by OSU grad assistants and players. You can rationalize it all you want. As far as the MSU tunnel event, the Michigan kid ran into the tunnel cuz he was in a hurry bc he wanted to see his dad. The MSU players used helmets and beat him over the head. There has always been respect for OSU. OSU has great players, great traditions. Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes had much love and affection for each other. They wanted to crush each others souls on the field, but off the field they were friends. The biggest mistake Michigan made was allowing the agricultural school into the Big 10. Imagine if MSU was a MAC school. Just like OSU. MICH would be the only Big10 school in its state. MSU players go there because 85% of the time Mich didn't offer or their grades aren't good enough. Don't act like MSU, and I would tell the Michigan players, we aren't Oklahoma. We expect to beat our rival. We are up 11 games in the history of "the game", despite OSU dominance for the past 24 years sans the past 4. As far as the OSU running the ball, Mich gave them the "we dare you to run it" looks and OSU tried to run. People think Chip Kelley is a passing/offense guru. Chip Kelly's offense is predicated on the run game, or at least it has been before he joined the OSU staff. There are plenty of articles that back that statement up. OSU now knows how Mich fans like me felt from 03-19. Miserable. Let's just keep it the greatest rivalry in sports, with 2 of the greatest college football programs ever assembled

And what answer did the other state have when Michigan lined up and ran it every first and second down hahahaha

If Michigan O'State game was NFL, I'd say Rigged . Understanding the Hatred between those Two teams . O'State has shown their weaknesses VS Oregon and Illinois . Michigan will Beat O'STATE again next season . Infact after that mid field brawl, it's WAR now

It looked like Day lost on purpose. Right b 4 half they threw the ball and scored no problem. Then ran ball in second half mostly. Was it to be moved from number 5 spot plus not to play Oregon until later in playoffs.
@timd-s1p3 сағат бұрын
I've heard this multiple times and it makes some (?) sense--even if it did completely destroy Day's legacy. If true, was it worth it if OSU still loses to a team like TN in the 1st round???

One of the most beautiful ugly games I've ever seen. Go Blue! Y'all are pretty cool for Bucknuts btw.

Not watching much OSU this season. And not being an expert at all. The game looked thrown. A high school coach could have called better offensive plays. And the 2 hooked field goal attempts did sit well in my gut. Military is shoot, run , communicate, adapt. Where was there 1 ounce of adapting? The definition of insanity is trying to same thing over and over expecting different results.

All osu fans need to ask themselves - would they rather be 7-5, beat Michigan, but miss out on the playoffs? Of course not. Suck it up.

Most Ohio fans would pick beat Michigan over the Natty. A reporter asked several fans before they entered the Shoe and that’s what they said.
@philgates987610 сағат бұрын
Howard looked terrible especially after he got hit hard by Paige, both timid and inaccurate. They pretty much double covered Smith every time and UM's DL dominated enough they rarely blitzed and never gave Howard much time, he was rattled early on and never recovered. That is not on the coaching,

O, we don’t give a damn for the whole state of ohio, the whole state of ohio the whole state of ohio we don’t give a damn for the whole state of ohio, we’re from Michigan!!!

Look at 4th qtr stats over the last 4 games with TTUN. It tells story of OSU just getting worn out by the 4th. OSU is soft and the culture is just off compared to TTUN

Let's see, Texas planted a flag after the Michigan game, nothing happened. Oregon planted a flag after the Michigan game, nothing happened. Ohio State planted a flag the lady time they beat Michigan, nothing happened. Buckeye, learn how to lose.

Once again, arrogant Ohio State and its toxic fan base got beat by Michigan, and in the most inexcusable way possible. Had absolutely every advantage under the sun and still couldn't get a win as a 20-point favorite at home. Hilarity at its finest! 😅😂🤣
