I am a 69-year-old new subscriber from California. I am a city girl but I simply love watching you quickly figure out what you are going to do. Everything you say sounds like a foreign language to me but I am working to figure it out little by little. Your personality, energy, positivity, and humor lift my heart and I love watching you work! Thank you!

Outstanding work. I haven't seen a person stack wedges like that in a long time and I've never seen it on camera. Seen it done, done it myself but never on camera. Your knowledge and instinct are brilliant. Thanks for the video.

Dude you have THE BEST KZbin channel on the internet. We’re living in some crazy times, and it seems like everywhere you look there is anger and confusion and pain and resentment. People don’t seem to want to listen to one another and actually stop and think about what their words mean to others and what we’re all trying to do here on the planet. And then there’s this little KZbin channel of a woodsman just doing honest work and taking great pleasure in it, and he is truly a soldier of love and kindness. I just want to thank you for what you’re doing, man. I don’t work with trees. I’m a structural firefighter and advanced EMT in a city in Alabama. I really appreciate your Message and what you’re doing man. Thank you so much.

Well after a couple weeks wouldn't you know it... We're on a job site and guess who's name I'm hearing the guys tossing around the tailgate... Yup... Buckin for sure haha they'd all found you themselves and just thought you were the best and so much fun to watch... Thanks guys have a good one

Well Hello Buckin’ Billy! I’m from all the way up north in Finland🤭 I found your chanel couple of weeks ago when i just surf through KZbin watching knife and axe videos, and i loved your positive attitude and passion to your Job, what i actually think is not job it’s way of life to you😁 I am welder in company which make Tapio Harvesters… I am also passioned hunter and i love being in forest and wilderness with my Finnishspitz and family… My wife calls me ”mehtäpöykäri” it means some kind of Forest lunatic or wilderness maniac who don’t fit in town or city centrals and look like he is allways coming or going in woods🤭 Thank you so much for your content! Your videos give me allways good mood and make me smile🤘🏻 I love people who are passioned to something! And i have similar childhood and school way with you🤘🏻🤘🏻

Still use my father's Sachs-Dolmar 50+ years old it runs beautiful, just got a small Stihl saw for the one handed stuff. Started cutting with my Dad when I was 14 our first job was an orchard with 400 oldstyle apple Trees, they had to goforagreen house. It was a side job just for some extra money I never stopped cutting and splitting. I cut trees when people ask means use the wood or give it away. Love your videos we don't have such huge trees in the Netherlands.

I bought a Stihl in the early 70`s and it`s still going strong in the family. This is the first tree felling video I`ve watched.Brings back memories. Being a musician I was pleasantly surprised by the grove you cut at the end . I love the axe handles leaning next to the drum sticks. You have a great life.

I just did 6 cedars like that hanging over an old hotel, spooked me, so I rigged them up with 3/4 bull rope and ended up wedging them anyway, I always cut like the rope dosen't exist. I was really impressed how heavy the wood was, pro mac 700 for felling and the 1050 homelite for stumps. Thanks for showing wedge work.

Carrollton, Texas here retired Electronics Tech, Network admin/security. Born in a very rural town in Virginia grew up cutting down trees for camp fires. Learned an important lesson at about 11 years old look up. We only cut dead trees and the top of this one was rotten. Tree starts down top folds back in the opposite direction and hits me good cut open the top of my hard head. Thank God it was a small tree and that the wood was rotten because it was so light

Those Cedars were something! In North East Ohio we don't get those if there ever was a tree that tall they've been cut down for years. Makes me wish I could save them for lumber so it wouldn't go to waste but you can't save them all from fire wood. Good luck and be safe!

Greetings from NL Canada🇨🇦 I spend a lot of time in the woods myself, I have a 2165 Jonsered , a 630 Jonsered that We’ve has in the family since 1986 and it still works great, I also have a new 550 XP Mark II Husky that I bought last year, it’s awesome. I stumbled on your channel a few days ago and I’ve been watching ever since, great videos with great messages, I can learn quite a bit here for sure, I started a KZbin channel just to post a few amateur drum videos when I bought a new kit after 25 years of not playing, I really enjoyed the awesome groove you had going on there🥁👍🛎

3 full wedges high,,, on a freakin' cedar ! Billy Ray, my hat is off to you. The notch cut was a work of art. And then you came in on the backside just a touch high to lend some flex, vs just snap the hinge. On a cedar. I know enough, I think, to know what I just watched. Holy Wah ! Nice job.

I still can't believe that Buckin' is a self thought feller.. I'm surprised he still got his hands, fingers, legs and toes. Hell, I'm surprised he's alive. Teaching yourself such extremely dangerous and hard job is a miracle. Especially considering the fact that when he started doing this there was no internet, you couldn't watch "how to" videos. He probably watched professional loggers a lot, talked to people and used a method of trial and error. But as I mentioned, this method is OK if you're learning how to tile or drive a car. In one of his videos I've heard him talking about a serious accident he had, but I don't know if it happened during his learning days or during the time when he knew everything there is to know and he got lazy or distracted.
