I actually met a dude with a buggy who's excuse was "it's incentive for me to avoid flipping it". The whole freaking out over the flag touching the ground thing is a little extreme, but there's no need to fly the flag on a vehicle where you know it's going to get torn up. Also, it's one thing to show your support of country, it's another to piss mark your politics everywhere you go, politics should stay out of motorsports.
