What makes hockey the most fun playoffs is that a team can catch fire going into the playoffs and win it all no matter what seed. I think the Executives at ESPN/ABC made a terrific decision to have PK take over the role from Mr Melrose as the “Charles Barkley” of NHL Hockey Analysts in being that National Commentator to US Audiences. FYI Hopefully before he passes away Barry Melrose will be inducted in the Broadcaster/Analyst category for the Hockey HOF.

I agree! Didn't like him as a player personally but he definitely has what it takes to do TV coverage and be entertaining. When he was a player, he got a lot of new fans into the sport when he was with the Habs. He's a big part of hockey imo. Another player making waves is Kevin Bieksa on Sportsnet. When First Take compared the 2012-13 Heats' winning streak to the 2012-13 Blackhawks' point streak, Stephen A claimed that Chicago's streak was less impressive because it included ties (there have not been ties in the NHL since before the '03-'04 lockout). He knows absolutely nothing. The only player that he could name on either team before the Stanley Cup Finals started was probably Connor McDavid.
