Proof in today's complex automotive world, base model is all the car you will ever need!

Yes, however in the event you did a lot of stop-start traffic driving, spending the money for the Nissan ProPilot system would be well worth it 😅

This is my exact Car, except it's 24 plate. I appreciate the review

Have you enjoyed owning your Ariya so far?

Certainly have! It still feels like a Dream 🙂

I have Venture+ trim in US. It’s a base trim with 87 kw battery. Good combination. I am getting +320 miles with full charge and I am not driving slow. Happy with Ariya so far.
@BuckleUpShowАй бұрын
Should be called the Venture (as far as you want from a fast charger)+

Thanks! Can you please test the base model Renault Scenic e-tec 60 ?

No, Renault won't lend us cars

Great , another car you need a step ladder to wash the roof. 😂

Depends how short you are - in my case, definitely, yes! 😂

Coming from a 2024 kona ev, the ariya has a nice interior layout, just misses some tech at its price point.
@BuckleUpShowАй бұрын
The Kona is from a segment below though, so I would hope this was an upgrade inside

all these cars have enormous pillars, and feel like you are driving a box truck. 😂

Would that make it a pillar box truck?

Or as I call it: the Nissan Arija.

That's still pronounced the same though right?

Yes, at least in the Baltic and Slavic languages. And apparently Ārija is a female name from Latvia. The Nissan Arija is available in the Baltics btw.

Propilot does not impress, more dangerous than useful. 22kw AC charging on my Evolve is a great feature most reviews never mention ie it charges in half the time of tesla kia hyundai byd the list goes on.
@BuckleUpShow3 күн бұрын
What is it about ProPilot that doesn't impress you? 22kW AC charging is good, but not beneficial if charging at home as typical wall boxes top out at 7.2 kW 😁 For public charging, DC is almost always a better option.
@micgent2 күн бұрын
@@BuckleUpShow IMHO in the UK most £50k + Ev's are company cars where the user charges at work f.o.c .Many business have 3 phase so (3x7kW=22Kw approx) it makes sense to install 22kw. I have 25k miles experience with the Ariya Evolve have only used dc charge once and rarely charge at home. I mainly love the car but ride comfort and FWD wheelspin take a lot away from a very practical car. Propilot, approach a roundabout when engaged and a roundabout symbol illuminates, the car slows before entering the roundabout then as you enter the roundabout propilot controls the speed then you indicate to exit the roundabout and the speed increases as you exit. All sounds great but what is the benefit? It does not consider the road condition! It does not give way! It sometimes proceeds too fast or too slow! At best it is of no use at worst dangerous to those who dont understand its shortcomings. Its a shame I had to pay for it.

Ariya is a great car, but the higher trim levels are much better than the one you tested. I have the Evolve+ E-4orce.
@BuckleUpShowАй бұрын
They may well be better, but they are significantly more expensive. The base trim offers surprisingly good amount for your money. I have driven the e-4ORCE model though, and it's very nice!
@Dutchy197214 күн бұрын
More options doesn’t mean better , it means more options that cost more money and are completely unnecessary. I have the base model and absolutely love it. There are many great features (ie safety and driving) even on the base model.
@BuckleUpShow14 күн бұрын
I think the only option I'd spec on the base one is the ProPilot adaptive Cruise system as it does stop and go traffic really well. The rest of the optional extras are just added expense. (I do like having heated seats too though!)
