You mean master the jabber skyhook or hook 🪝 shot , Kareem Abdul jabber had big hands,& long arms & 7foot 2 inches great shooting touch & jabber knew how to shoot the skyhook shot at any angle near the basket 🧺

Kareem was the best player that I have ever seen, and I have been watching the NBA for more than 40 years. Look at the record books Kareem is #1 in scoring and top 3 and rebounding and block shots too. No other player is top 3 in 3 different categories. That is why I say Kareem is the best, Jordan is #2 and LeBron is #3 and Wilt is #4. That is how I would rank them.

StevenC32. AGREE💯 kareem not only did it in the PROS/NBA. His the only HOF that dominated HS and NCAA.. so only that separated KAREEM from the REST.. he too was so underrated that KAREEM never been mention to the GOAT debate.. that I probably in my opinion. I would say KAREEM is NO.1..

During the early (Milwaukee) part of his career, Kareem often took hook shots from 20-25 feet out (close to 3-point range).

Havlicek is easily in top 14 or so greatest players,ever.What a great clutch player.Kareem was a beast back then,a young abdul jabbar was unstoppable.Hank finkel could shoot the rock lol,thats why he lasted 9 years in the league.

This is one of the greatest finals games in NBA history I knew the game was very important Not sure if I knew the bucks it was a must win for the bucks but that sky hooked from the corner one of the greatest shots in NBA history

I watched this game as a 7 year old. I was in awe of the atmosphere in that Boston Garden. The announcers were amazing. Kareem with the big pressure shot to save the season and force a game 7. It lasted past midnight on a Friday night, so I was allowed to stay up with my parents to see it.

This is incredible. Every single shot taken within the 24 second clock goes in, except for a couple blocks and the last long shot. Too bad the modern game's free-throw fest would never let this sort of thing happen anymore.

Havlicek was a BEAST. My first favorite player as a kid. In many respects as good if not better than Larry Bird who would follow him.

They each had their advantages. Havlicek a superior defender, ball handler. Bird better rebounder, deeper range, slightly better passer . Hondo really underrated as a passer, as was Elgin Baylor.

The defense was tighter because there was hand checking.I watched a million games from 1969 to today and id have havlicek in my top 12 or 14 players.Bill simmons had him at 14 in his book and he doesnt think much of white players in general.lol.He grew up in boston though i believe so he saw john play too although simmons is younger than me.

I thought the defense was perfectly fine in these days, these guys are absolute legends. I mean double overtime in Game 6 of the NBA Finals and just look how everybody performed in the clutch, and this doesn't even show the AMAZING dive by Dave Cowens earlier in the game to bring it to this point. I just love watching John Havlicek play. Look at the rainbow arch on all of those short range shots. You just don't see players that can do that anymore, John Stockton was the last like that.

I read Havlicek said he learned to shoot a "moon" to get it over Wilt and it came handy against Kareem as well.

Absolutely, it's all those extra nuances to Havliceks game that makes him stand out in my opinion, he used all he learned thru out his career on top of his natural skills, and incredible stamina and presence - played 3 overtimes 2 yrs later at 36

Also didn't help that the Bucks lost 3 of their 4 home games...That's inexcusable...especially after winning THIS game, they got basically blown out at home in game 7...if you win 2 of 3 on the road in the BOSTON GARDEN and still lose...well, you deserve to lose...

the ref's in the games the bucks won in this series were determined to stop cowens from "climbing" on jabber. KAJ was much bigger and stronger then cowens, but cowens pushed him to the brink physically. the games the celtics won, the ref's couldn't care less what cowens did to kareem

he did the finals the first year CBS had the NBA. after that, musburger did it the rest of the 70's. then gary bender did the 81' finals, finally dick stockon would do the rest of the 80's
