Thank You sir, i actually bought my 11yr old son the Rubik Cube for this Christmas couple of days ago because i thought itll help him with his hyper-active Bx, about two nights ago i got started to play with it. It was always an intimidating toy, even back in my days( I grad HS in 85) so i saw the craze of the cube in its original explosion. I always say to family and friends, Thank Goodness for KZbin. Beenish Hussain, The easiest way to learn to solve the cube is learn the steps individually. First, learn to solve for the green side. Don't do anything else until you have the green side mastered. Then learn the left and right moves to solve the middle layer. Then learn the top. Kids find it helpful to write down the algorithms on a piece of paper so they can look at the steps when they are learning to solve. At the end of the video, there is another video with all the moves written down. Keep at it!! You will get it!!!! All it takes is practice. Write me if you get stuck

OMGoodness !! I did it I did it I did it. Thank you so much for your simple steps. Some of your moves were pretty fast so it took me pausing and starting several times. Then also I’d take an extra step to make my colors match then I found myself nowhere near what you were showing me. LoL. So I had to stop. Start over like 3 different times and waited patiently and followed your instructions instead of rushing into the next step. After 3 times I learned my lesson. 🤣 I bought my son his first cube at the age of 7. He’s now age 23. Back then he wasn’t too thrilled with it. But once he hit high school he picked it up and didn’t put it down until he solved it. Now he has I believe every cube created thus far and can solve them all. 😊💕😊 He’s pretty fast too. He’s in the Army and he keeps the original cube on his desk. Of course anyone who walks by has to mess it up just to see him solve it. 🤣🤣🤣 Now I can show him I’ve solved it too. 😊Again.. Thank You.

What an awesome story! Once you know how to solve the cube you will never forget. Kind of like riding a bike. Way to stick with it! One tip I share with kids is exactly what you did. I tell them to learn the sides and turns and to solve the green side only. Don't do anything else until you have the green side mastered. Then learn the R and L moves to solve the middle layer, then learn the top. Its easier to break it down into steps. Thanks for the note!

Thank you so much for this great tutorial. There is just one thing that happens quite frequently. Once you've solved one side (including the small T's) and you flip the cube over to start doing the middle part, you're supposed to be looking for one of the four middle pieces on the up face that does not have blue in it. Sometimes there are indeed middle pieces with no blue. But sometimes all four middle pieces already have blue in them. What to do then? It makes it impossible to solve the cube. Please advise...

You just play the blues randomly using the same algorithm. This will shuffle them into the respective slots however it will also free up the correct pieces. Once those pieces playable then solve to the next step.

I was finally able to solve my Rubik's cube after watching this video a couple of times and finally understanding it completely. It was so satisfying! I watched heaps of videos on youtube to try to learn (with the headings SOLVE RUBIK's CUBE IN JUST 2 MOVES) but they were all literally garbage. They didn't help at all. This video teaches us properly each and every step and algorithm of solving the Rubik's cube in detail. Might be long but really very very helpful. Ryan Kim, Hold on! Hold on! You may have CUBE-ITUS!!!!!! This occurs when a piece of your cube came off in the past and was put back on in the wrong orientation. This will give you headaches and you will NEVER solve your cube! Take the cube apart and put it back together. This way you start with a cube that has all the pieces in the correct place. Mix it up and then solve. Let me know how it goes!

katie cat, Hang in there! This isn't a one-sit-down-watch-and-get-it video. Just remember, all it takes is practice! Stick with it and you will get it. Write me if you get stuck. Here is a tip.......learn to solve the green side first. Learn the sides, the turns and the algorithms to solve the green side. Don't do anything else until you have the green side mastered. Write me when you get there.......hint........it's easier when you write down the moves.........another hint.......the moves are written down for you to copy at the end of this video......click on the Tip Sheet....rock on girl!

FREESTYLE SPORTS, this happened to me too! Do this....when you get to the last part where you have the blue cross finished and all you need to do is get the 4 corners in the correct location, make the move to get the 4 corners in the correct location and then twist the corner into place. Very often, sometimes people drop the cube or move it so fast that a piece pop's off. Then the piece is put back in the wrong place or wrong orientation and you will get headaches and never solve the cube! Take the cube apart and put it back together so you know you have all the pieces in the correct place. Then mix it up and solve it. Stick with it, you will get it! Let me know how it goes!

Oh, another trick FREESTYLE SPORTS, when you do the R'D'RD move, say it out loud. Most kids skip the last Down move and it messes up the whole cube:)

When I got up to the corners after I finished the middle section all of them where in the wrong position. You said if most of them where in the wrong position I have to get the correct one in the bottom right then do the algorithm again but all my ones are in the wrong position so I had no idea how to do the algorithm.
