Keeping up with the NASCAR rap-sheet of the aggressive Buckshot Jones became a challenge for some. This week on The Dale Jr. Download we find out the real story of what started his rivalry with Randy LaJoie. Let's just say it all started in a hotel parking lot. The headlines of their tangles in some ways defined the career of Jones, who wouldn't back down from even a seasoned Champion such as LaJoie.
Listen to the full story on dirtymomedia.com or any major podcasting platform.

Dale Jr. is no kidding one of the best hosts I’ve ever watched. Every time I get a little confused he somehow steps in and asks the exact questions needed to clear it up. 2:23 He is truly talented. I hope he and Mike do this show for a long long time!

I think it’s totally unfair to say people don’t have character today 😂. It’s a different time than when you grew up, and that’s ok. I also disagree that NASCAR wants all the drivers to have no personalities. Come on really? I do agree that NASCAR is missing the personalities we had in the past. In my opinion it’s due to drivers now a days getting a ride when they are 18. They haven’t had to “earn” the ride and grind it out for years. Therefore, they are missing the element of they have truly earn and worked for years for the opportunity. So yes a lot of the drivers are boring now a days I do agree. Blanket, and Chase Elliott to name a few. Cheers

Absolutely, it was a field full guys who fought crawled their way to make that 42 car field. Every position on that track mattered. Sponsors cared about beating rival company cars. Manufacturers cared about beating each other. And the average Joe could relate to every competitor in that field, even if they didn't like them. And every driver and crew member respected their rivals because they knew that they had to fight their way to be there just as much as they did.

Dale, I hope you see this. I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I enjoy these shows. I know you'd probably prefer I watch the races. The first racer I remember is Joie Chitwood. My Dad used to mention him. I recall watching Harry Gant and The King. I moved on to Indy with A.J. Foyt, Rick Mears, Emmerson Fittipaldi and Team Penske. Now I like that show about Formula I on Netflix. That documentary about Senna is tragically terrific. Formula I took away his talent and who he was. I think it's their fault he wrecked and passed. Well, keep on keepin' on. I enjoy these. Peace

My memory's a little hazy on the exact details, but at a race at Dover (I think), Joe Bessey (I think) won his only BGN race. Towards the end of the race, he had some kind of dust up with Buckshot, and after he won, while Bessey & his crew were celebrating the victory in the Winner's Circle, Buckshot's crew attacked them with water hoses, right on TV, spraying them and giving them a good soaking, LOL. One of the strangest retaliations I've seen in racing. I'm still not sure it really happened, because I was watching it live on TV, and while the commentators mentioned it briefly, it was barely mentioned afterwards in the media. Just imagine something like that happening today, but back then it was a Saturday race on some station like TNN, so it passed unnoticed. Buckshot looks so different now. I'd have never recognized him. I liked him in the Cheez-It car, mainly because I love Cheez-Its. So I rooted for Buckshot. Junior asks why Buckshot had trouble with Lajoie and here I'm remembering trouble with Joe Bessey. Why? Bessey and Lajoie were New England Yankees. Buckshot, good ol' Southern boy. Civil War part 2?
