Op het publiceren van dit nummer heb ik gewacht sinds de dag dat m'n VHS videoband met deze uitzending werd opgegeten door m'n videorecorder zo'n 25 jaar geleden. Serieus. Meerdere Facebook berichten aan 2-Meter sessies en Jan-Douwe in 2013, 2014, 2015. Geen antwoord. Nu is ie er eindelijk. En ik leef nog en kan het zien. Het is geweldig.

I miss Acid Jazz so much! So many great bands and labels. I played drums in a local Baltimore Acid Jazz group called Urban Dialect...and our city had the great Lake Trout who in turn released a live record with the great DJ Who?. Great scene....I miss this music so much. Pocket grooves all day.

If anyone reading this really digs this you should check out a band called Pocket Lent, great mix of funk/ska/jazz/reggae and other genres. Their only full length album called Verve is up on KZbin.

Catchy base. But sadly, it lacks singing and an overall idea. So it comes down the jazz cliché of 'Let's all do a solo in turn'. Sigh, and there's the annoying scratching.
