I stop in Kingwood, West Virginia, where buckwheat flour is a big deal...enough to have a festival about it! In 2021, the William G. Pomeroy Foundation put up a historical marker in that town as part of their "Hungry for History" series. I was able to find a place that served buckwheat cakes, which was within walking distance from the marker (at Down Home Cafe). You'll get to witness me eating buckwheat pancakes for the first time.
