I'm glad to see the ole girl digging. It make me upset so many people just scrap machines like that.

It has been a lot of hard work, but also very rewarding. Do it while you can, as when you start to get older, lots of other agendas end of getting in the way of having fun.

It is a lot of fun to operate. Just got the shovel-front going this fall, need to do a little fine tuning still and get some practice before I can make a video of it. Thnaks for watching.

Thanks a bunch! Still having some trouble with the steering, almost didn't get it out of the woods. Might try getting the brake bands relined and see if that fixes the problem.
@idig4stuff10 жыл бұрын
When brake bands or clutch frictions glaze up in a hard pull. I have good luck crushing a small piece of coal into powder. Put a little of the powder in the drum surface or lining where you can. It breaks the glaze and gives you a better grip.

Interesting video I made sure to subscribe, my buddy and I were talking about buying a dragline for tinkering around with and restoring he's been dreaming of digging a trout pond on his property so needless to say we'd have to dig pretty deep as we living in Canada in the Great White North. lol

That is awesome. Here in the Midwest these machines are so hard to find. Wondering what set-up it has (shovel, dragline, backhoe?). Would love to see pics or video.

What a great little dragline! I'm surprised to see how tight it is, the house rolls don't allow any tip at all. Have a ball......

Thanks! Its in decent shape for a 68 year old machine. Hope to do a video this year covering all the repairs I've made and the ones still to come.

There is a guy on the HCEA Buy sell forum with a Buda HP-260 for a BE 10B for sale, says it needs valve work but thats an easy fix. Might be a nice drop in for your other 10B with water damage.

I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks Mike!

where do you find these beautiful machines I would love to have one but finding one in our around Wyoming is hard
@jac53449 жыл бұрын
+Tevin Smith The 10B's are extremely hard to come by. Mine are the only 2 I've ever found for sale, and they came from upper Minnesota. I think they are more common in the East, but rarely found for sale. My '37 shovel is currently for sale, and should show up on Instagram @tired.iron40 sometime this week.

+jac5344 well what about be's in general
@jac53449 жыл бұрын
+Tevin Smith 15B's are easier to find, and 22B's are still fairly common. Anything above that is a rather large machine.

Jac, thanks for the video. I would love to have something like that. Is it hard to find one in working order? Are they expensive?
@jac534410 жыл бұрын
The 10B's are rather difficult to find, 15B's somewhat easier, 22B's fairly common. I bought the two 10B's mainly because it was a once in a lifetime find. The smaller machines usually go for less than 10k.

, operador da 10B é xucro. Ou arrebenta os cabos ou trinca a torre. Eu não daria nem um carro de mão pra ele.
