If you are basically neutral in which tastes better, than get the Miller Lite because it's the same alcohol content but less calories and less than half the carbs. Might as well save on calories and carbs if you are getting the same alcohol content. Especially if you drink a lot of them on a regular basis... it definitely makes a big difference over time.

The corn syrup is NOT added to the beer, it's used in the brewing process for the yeast to feed on, as well as the malt. Miller beer hands down.

My go to is Yeungling Traditional Lager so I’m not much of a light beer guy. When I go for a light beer it’s always Miller Lite. They have the most flavor. It has a hoppy top end and a slight alcohol tingle with the carbonation. It’s very under appreciated as a light beer.

You should seriously consider trying Yuengling Light. It’s a light version of their traditional amber lager and probably the best light beer I’ve ever had

Couldn't be more wrong about aluminum cans being a sign of a cheap beer. Can liners have come a long ways over the last 20 years. Plenty of high quality beers are happily tucked into aluminum cans by their brewers with the knowledge that the modern beer can is not nearly as inferior to glass bottles as it once was back in the day.

Between these two, it's Miller Lite for me. Feels more carbonated or spicy if that's a thing. Though I'm going to lean toward a Yeungling light if I'm looking for more flavor and comparable calories/carbs. Good review! "They're wet" lol

I'm not a big fan of light beer, but of the "big 3" I prefer Coors light (though I'm a Coors man in general). Corona light is the best light IMHO because it's the only one where I can't taste the difference from its "heavy" counterpart. Blue Moon also has a decent light variant now if you like that sort of thing.

Yuengling light is good. But I disagree about it having more flavor than Miller lite. I think ML has more flavor, less calories, and is slightly cheaper still than Yuengling Light Lager. But I’d take a Yuengling Light Lager over Bud Light all day.

They only use corn syrup for the brewing process. It is usually brewed out of it. They warn people in case it has traces of it when brewed. When brewed, there is usually none left when finished brewing

Not a fan of either, but I'll take Miller any day of the week out of the two. Bud (all styles) has a really weird chemical taste/smell to me. I do like Miller Genuine Draft though. (for what it is) Overall though, Im firmly in the Coors camp when it comes to American macrobrews. Their beer just tastes IDK...fresher or something.

Good descriptor! I couldn't really put my finger on it, but the weird chemical taste is accurate. Always found BL to be offensive to the tongue while many do not. Thought it was just me!

@@brennanbourne I know that Bud uses more brewer's rice than other macro brewers and I've thought it might possibly be that. That or some kind of preservative.

@@Tim85-y2q I bet you are right about the rice, because I don't believe Coors nor Miller use rice in their mash. I don't think Busch does either, but I could be wrong. I had a Miller Lite the other night to revisit the flavor. Still enjoy it, but the carbonation near killed me. Apparently I need a hardier pour to remove some prior to drinking!

Miller Lite was actually invented by Rheingold which also made Meister Brau. ML was sold to Miller before Meister Brau was launched.

Excellent video. Comparing beers in the same class is an excellent idea. Also, the more popular the beers the more audience you are going to get. Most of the micro-breweries are like a cult and not worth the money or time. Too much focus goes into radical product names, artwork on the labels and cans.

I prefer miller Lite because it has (some) taste. Bud Light is excellent after 8 hours working in the sun. It's soda pop at that point. Miller Lite doesn't chug well. I still say Miller Lite.

I like the old hat better but the new pint glass! I had Meister Brau back in the day... Ugh... Those were the days where 'on sale in a bottle' was the main requirement. Cans were ok too if the price was right lol. Miller Lite is that beer you drink when that is all somebody has to offer then you quickly check them off the party list because they are not cool enough to hang out with. But seriously Bud Light all day it is as you say...not offensive

Yeah this dude is very misinformed on miller info they did buy the recipe from a guy in the late 60s or early 70s it was released nation wide in 1975 and corn syrup is only used in the brewing process it’s not in the beer itself at all

Not much of a Light beer drinker......but there are times in warm weather. Miller Lite is definatley the better here. At least there is a flavor. Bud light is awful. But.....hey guys......if you can get it in your area, Moosehead Light blows these away. Aint even close. Then after that ya got Yuengling light lager, and then many other craft breweries are making this style. But if you are going cheap.......Moosehead costs the same as the big 3. NO brainer! Cheers!
