Thank you Snow and Curt for showing this beautiful city and for reminding everyone about the horrors of war. We must never forget what happened and realize that history has a way of repeating itself if we’re not careful. Snow you made me cry when you completed two days and all of that walking. You and Curt have had a wonderful time here and it shows in your faces. Now it’s time for a rest.

Flow shoes are based on a movie... Title of the movie: Budapesti Tavasz (film, 1955) At the given time there was ice, and there was a thick layer of ice on the banks of the Danube, you can find the data on the official website. 20 thousand people were shot? Wow! Source? Enemies have always shot into the Danube in the course of history, e.g. the Jews shot Hungarians in 1919, or the Soviets whose attack the Jews helped at that time...

The memorial at the river's edge brought tears to my eyes. The Church was absolutely breathtaking and the organ was so beautiful and sounded like heaven. The Danube is a beautiful waterway and My brother-in-law and his wife took one of those Viking river boat trips up and down that river. I am so glad you treated yourselves to a taxi and a lovely cocktail on the looptop restaurant. Thanks for the tour and thanks to you Snow for putting in all the steps.

Oh, my, the heavenly music of the organs sent chills from the vibration of sounds through me, the ice cream flowers - yum yum, the blessed river walk of shoes - the Jewish sacrifice of souls - has been very memorable for me. Ending with the hope of light shining bright of the Parliament building in Budapest gives me a greatful heart that life is precious and should not be taken for granted! Thank you, Snow and Curt, for taking me with you on the journey today! Until next time, blessings, Jojo💜

The Danube River is beautiful. That memorial soo saddened me. Important history. How romantic was that rooftop restaurant?!! Wow! Really good luck getting your table and the girl was sooo nice at the restaurant to get you up there. Very nice! Well, even though the taxi cost more, I think I would prefer that. I was born and raised in Budapest but now have been living in New York City for 25 years. I am a big fan of your channel and vanlife in general. I am very very sorry you guys had a bad experience at the first camping site. I really hope the Hungarian journey will end well. I wish I was there and guided you through Budapest. The city is beautiful , and there are lots of nice places to see. I am glad you went to the GELLERT Spa , I was there last time when I was a child but still remember. It was good to see. BUDA side is the more sophisticated area and PEST is more like a middle class and working class area. If you stay in 5th. 6th. District you are in the heart of the city. But try to avoid the 7th. 8th. 9th. 10th nothing really interesting to see there. What you ate Snow at the market that was called PORKOLT and Nokedli , NOT a GULYAS. Gulyas is a soup and very tasty and fulfilling. If you guys have time and want some sweets definitely try the KURTOS KALACS !!!!! kinda sweet bread with crunchy caramel outside. Or very famous pastry the RETES in different filling. Sweet cheese, poppy seed, apricot . VACI UTCA ( Vaci street)( 5th District ) if you have time is a street where lots of shopping and good street food and night life you will find.Closed from traffic ! I hope you enjoy your stay in Budapest. Greetings from NY. 🥰 Viktoria

I was first in Budapest in 1990, roughly a year after Hungary ceased to be a Communist country. It was a beautiful old city in extreme disrepair, dirty, broken and downtrodden. The older people, who had lived long under oppression, would always keep their gaze down, avoiding any contact with others. The young people were smiling, curious and clearly hopeful about their future. You could still see the bullet holes from the 1956 Revolution in the walls of homes in Buda. I was there again in 1991, when Hungary celebrated the last of the Soviet Russian soldiers leaving the country. The celebration was amazing! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video. The streets of Budapest and the beautiful old buildings have seen such an incredible restoration to their original state.

The Basilica and the Parliament are really the same height, both are 96 m (315 feet), you have very good eyes for noticing! Both buildings refer to the thousand-year anniversary of the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian basin, which was celebrated in 1896, and both buildings were built at that time.

Szóval a kérdés: Mikor voltál utoljára Budapesten?????

13:09 The sauce is sour cream. It's for hot cabbage. They rarely eat full sausage with it. Sausage (many varieties) is best served with peasant bread and homemade mustard. (plus some pickles or something other sour) What you called goulash was actually stew (Pörkölt) with (nokedli) Noodles. Goulash is soup. I hope you will come to Hungary again. I like your videos.

I'm so glad that the first bad impression didn't kill the vibe for you guys at the campsite! It's not my job to defend them, but I have to mention that Hungarians are not easy to decode (even for ourselves). The person at the desk may have had a bad day, but as it goes here, maybe the next minute he invites you for a glass of wine. Or offers you a free puppy-you never know. That's just how we roll. We had a business near the Haller camp and made some friendships there with motorbike riders who stayed at that particular campsite. They had a blast. It's sad they didn't give you the right information, because the outer end of tram line 2 (seen in this video) is about a 10-minute walk from the campsite, and it follows the Danube, covering the most beautiful places. No need for the pretty (ugly) metro. My kids were baptized at the Basilica. I almost forgot how amazing it is inside. Okay, enough-I have to go make a goulash right now.
