I just bought a home in the area where I will have a small senior living community, the reason I'm doing this is because of my health and arthritis I feel so much better here. The community will provide all meals a driver and anything one wants. :) ! a set fee for a lifetime home once accepted will never have to worry about being asked to leave, no matter the care required to maintain the highest quality of life. Private yet community when you want it. ❤🎉 I wish yall the best and can't wait to see you both.

Very interesting video Bud. If you spend enough time in Mexico to really get a feel for it, I think it would be interesting to hear your true perspective in a video as far as which is better for retirement Mexico or the Philippines. Of course I'm sure for a lot of people the proximity to the US and Canada are a plus, but I know there's more to it than that.🙂

Google maps are very handy to explore areas ahead of time. Look for karoke, liquor bars, seedy areas near where the place one wants to stay. A quick check of Google map shows me in Ajijic, Mexico there is an Auto Zone and a Walmart. I would be at home there for sure! 😁👍

Hi Bud, it's good to see you and Gloria are doing well. If you are interested in more affordable long-term rentals, you need to get a few blocks away from the lake. You can still find some $500 -$600 a month furnished rentals. Have a great day.

Big difference between a 2-4 hour flight and a 22 hour flight at their age. They want you to be close to their kids. He gets around just fine, Gloria does not. Mexico is actually better off in terms of infrastructure and general access to services than what’s available in the Philippines. There’s a point where you have to decide whether you plan to stay in the Philippines until you pass. Going back to the states eventually is no longer an option physically. I think they made their choice.
