@@BuddaGuedes Well it has arrived today and it's simply fantastic. I'm not surprised so many musicians of different genres used Pignose. It's not a novelty or a toy like some paople would say. It's a versatile device. I think I'll have a lot of fun and will experiment with this guy. I don't always have mood to play through my regular 75W amp. Sometimes I just like to sit and strum just like that. And the great thing is I can play anywhere I like. In the park, in the bathroom, on the side of the road, on the porch... Everywhere. I'm super exciting to see you do a video about this amp. Your slide playing sounds great, as always. Oddly, I also posted my own review of the 7-100 about a month ago. It's great that you showed it into a larger amp as a preamp. In my demo I focused on how well it sits in a mix and I used it in a track. Since we both love Roger Mayer pedals and Pignose amps let me know if you ever want to collaborate on a video. Cheers!

I've bought 2 of the tweed 7-100's this year. They are hotter than the pigskin tolex of the earlier versions which I also have. The secret with this amplificadore is that you have to dime the amp. With a LP Jr. with the volume on 2 and and tone on 4 its already talking dirty. Sweet spot for me is volume on 7 tone on 7. Sounds like a super wombat hot bigass blonde at the show runnin' round with no panty's on.

What a fine demo! - I have the pignose, a Roland Microcube and an old steel grill Vox DA5. The pignose is my No1 go-to portable amp; I love it for its pure simplicity and, as you say, that LoFi magic. There's much could be said for its 'less-is-more' mojo - for the price of a good pedal it certainly adds up to more than the sum of its part... The Vox has a larger speaker and might be considered to sound 'better' on that account. The built in effects are okay but its controls are a fiddle to use and somewhat confusing. The settings also reset once the power is switched off so it's easy to forget a nice setting and find yourself spending ages trying to set it just right again. The Pignose has no such issues. It's also about 1/3 of the size of the DA5 The Microcube fits somewhere in the middle. It too has several amp models and competent effects. The effects are all on dials and so optimum settings are easy to remember and their positions remain where you left them. The two effects dials control two or three effects each so not all combinations are possible. The 5" speaker doesn't sound as full as the DA5's 6" but is still a bit more HiFi than the Pignose's. The microcube would probably be my first recommendation to a beginner as the effects are straightforward and pleasing. From this description you might wonder why I still favour Pignose over them all. Well, regardless of all their fancy modelling and effects, the VOX and Roland each have one setting that sounds 'best' to my ear, and so they tend to be just set and left at that. I also use minimum effects when practicing; just a smidgin of reverb OR delay. I have a rescued multi-effects pedal which is good enough to render built in amp effects redundant anyway; I'll sometimes add delay and overdrive for extra filth! The pignose is half the size of even the Microcube; pedal and pignose together still take up less room in a bag than the Roland. Furthermore, the pignose opens up with room for 5 harmonicas, a bottle'o'blues mic and 2m guitar cable inside - more space saved! I'd sell the Microcube first, even though I think it's a better all rounder. The DA5 sounds better and the pignose is significantly smaller but has the same sized 5" speaker.. The DA5 would go next. It sounds best of the three but it won't fit in my rucksack and I wouldn't want to carry it anywhere far or on public transport either. That said, it has tone and volume better suited to a dedicated busking mission. It's good to sling in the car and to rock out in your mates garage with. I just wouldn't take it anywhere on holiday. So the pignose is the one for me - It gets my mojo working! It's plug and play, no fuss, LoFi and bluesy. What you see is what you get but if that's not enough it'll pedals like a champ. My other amps may go to market but this little piggy stays at home... or else comes camping, picnics, festivals.... :-)
