valkyrae improved so much from 3.0. the progression with her and the clowns, while also navigating her place in cg has been great all around. it's cool to see her character evolving and developing thru the fun content she brings

Her RP is great with creating story arcs, but what I really admire is the time and consideration she seems to have taken to really flesh out Ray Mond as a character and trying to make interactions and decisions based on who Ray Mond is and not what Rae feels like in the moment which I think is the hardest part of RP. There’s so many people who do take the time to think of a character with a backstory and motivation and everything but then inadvertently end up just being a self insert because the decisions they make are just what they would do and not thinking through “okay what would my character do based on their motivations and personality”

I'm also impressed how she's navigating her character's story considering how many characters from her previous arc are gone for good and can't be mentioned. I honestly didn't think she'd return to RP after all that, but not only did she return, but she's created such a good arc for the character and brought attention and RP to the clowns as well.

Soo true, she explicitly tries to make mistakes to create storylines and it makes it so much more interesting to watch the character develop. It makes it not boring for people to watch but it also keeps herself sane, she loves to create drama to also give other people rp they wouldn’t normally do or to make situations more entertaining. I might be biased here but Rae is definitely one of the best out there.

Ray Mond's clown era is one of the unexpected thing that happened in 4.0 Tho she already had the Harley Quinn vibe on her own but I never expected her to vibe with The Clowns. Props to Clowns specially to chatterbox. He bring so much content to Rae's RP. And props to Jagger's chat and Rae's chat for not being weird while the RP is happening. Of course some of the chatters are weird but collectively it's all good and fun. The best arc for Ray Mond so far. She fits perfectly with the clowns

Valkyrae said she will just burnt out if she will play gta the same way she did in 3.0. Her not going back instantly to CG is a great thing since she was able to meet new characters and create new storylines with them.

I think it's wild that a lot of variety streamers treat rp with more whole character development and story building than most regular rp streamers. It could just be that they spend less time in rp. xChocobars for example, super new to rp, but really puts an effort in to stay true to character and flesh out the family story as well as making sure to separate herself from the character she's creating and playing.

You can talk about CG, buddha's crew, April, The Company, whoever you want, but Ray Mond/Hiccups just become one of the most iconic characters in nopixel. You can also say "oh glazin Valkyrae", but just like Buddha said Rae brought more entertainment, energy and creativity to the server, and that's a fact. I used to watch Buddha's, CG's and some members of the Company but at some point it became kinda 'boring' to me (even Yuno for some reason :/ ). Ray Mond is really chaotic, but she's a natural chaotic which makes her enjoyable to watch.

GTA RP is basically improv in long form using a gaming platform as the medium. Most participating in No pixel at this point are seasoned improv/voice actors, and those that stand out create the arcs and progression of random stories.

I think 4.0 Ray mond has done so well to connect characters. First off it was gigi and Elle and then the clowns. These characters all existed but there is almost a more closeness between gangs, sbs and civ characters that 3.0. This helped by the mechanics that have forced a little but more rp between the types and the flood of new rpers.

What has always impressed me from literally her first month way back in 3.0 is she would always give anyone the time of day. Stop RP with them because she realizes it’s just a chill game and the moments others bring or she brings to others is the content. Wish everyone was like that.

One thing I've always thought RPers should do more, and that Rae does very well, it's to talk to the viewers about the character's mindset/reasonings about whatever it is on the daily. And sure not every single thing needs to be explained or "spoiled" but talking about the character helps put distance between the streamer and the character, and that helps with minimizing viewers that get too invested and forget that those are pixels on a screen.

Valkyrae has been amazing in 4.0 , the only thing I will comment on is how she let’s chat affect her sometimes especially when she lands her eyes on just one random guy complaining , it kinda ruin the whole stream for her and fellow tamed chatters.

I remember recently she acknowledged that very thing that it could just be that one random person and it ruined her vibe, but I believe that also her chat going down on that one person as well ruins it since it puts the focus on what happened. If it were just that one random person, the comment gets lost in the comments and everyone moves on, but when chat also acknowledges it, it just creates a big mess. I do gotta admit how impressive it is when she does catch some comments in a sea of them cuz sometimes I be looking and I don't notice a thing. Then again, she's been doing this for years lol.

Valkyrae is great but i think Chatterbox was more of the catalyst on why Rae pursued the arc. The mine talk and the talk in the poo water about chatterbox past were mostly about him creating those scenes. even the face reveal, confessing their feelings and etc were initiated by Chatterbox. I think he should get the same credit as Valkyrae and I am glad he is getting the recognition he truly deserves.

@@lilac5666 yup. i dont think anyone realize that ray mond is a progression grinder too if you remove all interactions involving chatterbox or some of her stirring lol. imo, he actually the one carrying the story arc but it only works because that is the dynamic of their characters and the scenarios it creates just them being together. would not happen if you replace either character.

Chatterbox is a seasoned and great rper. They are not comparable. Buddha is comparing Valkyrae to her co variety streamers and the likes. But it was Rae who really wanted a clown arc the moment she interacted with them. She enjoys it even if it not make sense for her character. Chatterbox and the clowns are just doing their usual thing of terrorizing her. Jagger is very happy when Ray Mond give them the rp of being scared since its been awhile that someone gave them attention. And even if the clowns didn't win the auction Rae is already planning of staking Chatterbox. Rae wanted a joker and Harley Quinn type of arc with chatterbox from the start that is why she keeps flirting with him but because of twinkles it didn't happened at first. Until Jagger saw a clip of Valkyrae jokingly saying he is afraid to fall inlove with Ray Mond 😂 Chattercups is an arc that they both agreed OOC since both of them are not really into relationship rp.

I just thought that it took both valkyrae and chatterbox to create this content they have going on and that both should be praised for their talent.

@@JayZone23 I will have to disagree on Rae being a progression grinder before she met the clowns. Rae since the start of 4.0 has been saying her goal in gta is to create conflict and rp for other characters. She’s been creating story arcs with the gworls house and fleshing out her character before the clowns arc. Her conflict with BonBon/Ember and roping in Dundee to the dance and the whole BBMC shootout/back and forth was all part of Rae’s plan for the storyline. The yups to cups day that she planned, the mt. chilliad adventures, even this new house with the clowns and yuno is her mixing in characters and creating new rp. She’s given as much and more as she’s taking for rp.

Rae the streamer has had some of the biggest growth as a streamer content wise of anyone in her friend group her and fuslie have really pushed the boundaries of content. 100t I feel like has a huge impact on that too. Rae is so content smart it's crazy how little credit she gets for it. But even her branching out this season is a lot due to her joining cg in the beginning her arc with the angels and randy gave her a lot confidence to get spicy in rp and she's basically followed an rp line without even knowing she has very similar to Kevin in style. Almost like thew few interactions they had in 3.0 had a unconscious impact on her.

i really hope that streamers dont read negative comments from chat which want to make streamers quit GTA, im a RP lover but sad some streamers have the mentality to quit rping because of chatters but still there is alot more toxic chatters we cant stop

I get what he is saying in the first 2.5 minutes, and in some ways he's right (he goes and references Rae after as proof- I think the Clowns as a whole are great about it). In other ways, it's a total copout. To make every aspect of the living world into a grind, is to tell your players that grinding is what matters. Non-grinding has effectively turned into RP denial. I think some grinders see that and are bankrolling the non grinders because they feel bad that the non grinders cant really do anything... it's fucked. The balance is fucked- and is specifically designed to benefit the people who dont want to RP. And the funny thing is- they could have made it so much less that way. Pay the non-grindy jobs significantly more (doctors, ems, Sr. Buns, Liquid Library, news once thats up and running, etc...). Then make "unemployment" pay significantly higher. That way, if you wanna grind, you can, but others who dont wanna grind can also not be completely wing clipped. Further, by making the 'essential services' (aka cops, ems, doctors, food workers) be the highest paid workers, you incentivize them to hire and staff. Those roles are RP centric roles, which improves RP on the server. But nopixel admins have proven they dont give a shit about being RP centric. The fixes would be so easy to implement, and they refuse to do anything about it.

may sound shocking to you but that debt punishment thing was clearly an experiment to avoid exploitation in game. the players gave feedback and the admins eased it up a bit.

They caught a stray and then got bailed out because they caught the stray. Blame the vast majority of people exploiting the system. Not only that but other people are now exploiting this system so it will probably be changed again. People are emptying their bank account so they only get more time when they get fucked by the PD and they have it all liquid for when they get out so they don't get affected by fines. Then they are holding up the DOC to force them to take debt off them when in the prison

Both are great, it just depends on what you’re into watching. I personally have never been interested in watching GTA because of the drama until this clown arc came along. I’ve seen rae go in and out of GTA phases but it never caught my attention until this arc.

As Buddha points out, the main difference with Valkyrae is that she plans out the direction of the storyline (which may or may not pan out) in order to progress it. This whole thing she has going with the clowns spawned from her trying to do the same with Lang, but then Twinkles and Chatterbox crossed her path. Fuslie is great as well, but in a very different way, where she loads into the game and just starts yapping and see where the day brings her. It's a very different approach and both are commendable imho.
