OK so I understand that they think he was defending his self because they saw the car on the hill...... But hear me out.... At the same time they told lang a car was watching him so what if lang opened fire at the car because the cops said it was watching him....? I mean in reality the mandem could have just been watching what was going on and seen lang and Harry walking so fallowed them to offer them ar ride..... Lang gets scared opens fire and mandem try protecting themselves not knowing why they were being shot at? Afterall the mandem did just get paid out by speedy so it could have been over in their eyes! That's why juno "assuming" that the car was watching lang had them guilty before the shooting occurred. Also after zaceed got involved to save lang he should have been hit with accessory to however many times attempted murder of a cop.... The exact same as any other person would.

Juno watched Dean and co. on the top of the hill watching Lang at the cemetery, she watched Dean follow Lang out of the cemetery, she then heard gunshots and finds Harry and Lang down, with 1 MDM still left up, painting them as the aggressors in the scenario. Just listen to that cop’s logic, Lang and Harry were forced to resort to self-defence with unlawful weapons as two pedestrians on foot, without a means of escape. Lang and Harry were just defending themselves in the scenario, whilst Dean and co. were actively trying to kidnap him at best, kill him at worst. Thus, Dean and co. receive attempted murder, Lang receives misdemeanours which still stain his otherwise clean record.
