Hello, Osel Hita was born in Spain and recognised as the reincarnation of Lama Yeshe. He spent many years in Sera monastery and now travels the world giving talks such as this one. He has a strong emphasis on Environmental action and promotes a modern take on Buddhism. The Seattle boy you mention is possibly Deshung Rinpoche. There is also the movie 'the Little Buddha' and a story created for the movie which may be loosely based on Deshung Rinpoche.

He lost me when he said that anger is there to destroy, which neglects the most important role of anger, if you ask me, to set and protect personal boundaries. That lesson came late in my life, but well.. better late than sorry. However, super interesting life story of this kind dude
