"Cool Obituary" is off my new album PATRIOT and is one of my favorite stories I've ever written. It keeps with my goal of writing the kind of country music people don't hear anymore. Hope you enjoy this video! It was fun as hell to shoot! -BB
SIGNED CD'S www.buddybrowncountry.com/shop
Backstory: This video was filmed at one of the most haunted cemeteries in the South. I grew up on Henry Vick's legend (Who's headstone I kneel by at the end). We filmed for 2 days there at dusk and it was insane. Our camera crew had multiple problems with equipment and glitches they'd never experienced before. Orbs were showing up in outakes we can't explain. The next day before we started we took our hats off and paid respects. The tech problems went away and we finished. It wasn't just the duel he was killed in - This church was a Confederate war hospital where many died. Haunted isn't even the word for this place. It's alive in there and I was happy to get back in the truck!

Thank you for your song! Gonna add it to being one of my favorites! I'm 89 and took off to the mountains of Montana , with my two favorite horses Betty and Dolly, and my dog chawkata in January, and I haven't seen a human soul well over a month or so! Other song that Toby Keith did makes being here good enough reason! But truly I just wonted to be with the love of my life my Lady America Thank you! .

Wish my 92 year old Dad would have gone this way. My much loved Daddy died in a Nursing Home (he was in “temporarily” until he got better and could go back to his little apartment in an assisted living place) during the first Covid lockdowns… he got tired of just seeing us through a window. He was used to being with us every day. Poor Daddy. He quit eating and drinking and taking his meds. He said “I’m done!” We are all still heartbroken over the way things were before he died.

I’m so sorry to hear of your daddy passing and passing that way. My dad passed in 2019, before covid was released…I was very grateful for that, knowing things could have been very bad for him, he was in a care facility because he “didn’t want to be a burden to me.” I couldn’t convince him otherwise. He said to me, not long before he passed, “something big is going to happen Bub.” He explained that he thought something ‘big, around the world’ was about to happen but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He was a very wise man. God bless our precious daddies …and all those who know the truth. Jen. Australia. ❤️🙏❤️🇦🇺❤️

@@commonsense5008 some do. My dad insisted that I not look after him. He watched me nurse his mum in my home, then my uncle and then my mum over about 14 years…and I had full time care of my toddler grandson when dad became unwell and unable to care safely for himself. I moved in with him and my grandson came with me but dad didn’t like it. I tried home help and other services but dad didn’t like that more. I was disappointed but after he moved into the nursing home, he perked right up and really enjoy it. He loved all the nurses and he knew I didn’t have a big load to carry, I think he liked that the most. I was there daily, when I could, helping with meals and other things. Some people don’t have a choice, they have to do what is best for family…sometimes that means the parent chooses what they want. Every situation is unique. ❤️🙏❤️🇦🇺❤️

When an elderly Viking decided the end was near he would volunteer for battle and refuse to retreat, or he would hunt a bear with just a spear, or find some other way that he could have a chance to die in glory instead of dying in bed like an old woman. They believed only those that died in glorious battle could enter the halls of Valhalla. I am a Christian and my salvation is in the hands of Jesus, but dying with a good obituary sounds good to me.

Maybe we all face our own bear, we should go out with JESUS protecting our bks and leave a cool obituary, as you won't find GOD in a pulpit, HE'S with the least of us, skid row, the junkie, the human trafficking victims, you will absolutely not find HIM with the SAINTS, so we all have that bear we can face it's how we face it that's the difference. This actually is a true story though so it's cool that Buddy Brown wrote a song about it. The old Indigenous goes to find the bear that killed his Norwegian friend. I like BB's twist to it though cause the story doesn't say he left a note, Mounties just figured it was the same bear,🤷.

It's a good man who loves his gramma, grandpa, mom, dad and has a kind word to say to each and about, his siblings. Not many real good men left today. Lots of grammas are all alone with nary a visit or a phone call. The weeks turn into months... Months into years... then, they are forgotten. Not like it use to be! I once had a little boy, but I have no son. Sometimes, life doesn't go the way we just thought it would. Think about what I've shared here... then go visit your people, before you have none!

No it is not sad. Death is one common denominator for all of us. I choose to go out on my own terms.

I heard a bout a older guy hunting , he bag a nice buck put his rifle against a tree to clean his buck.. Well bears around where he was hunting attack to steal hunters kill .. Not being able to reach his rifle in the attack, this old man stab the bear to death with his knife.. The bear got him pretty good, he skins the bear and made it back to town.. Gets fixed up in the ER drops of his bear hide . The taxidermy guy calls and ask what happened.. the hide has 47 holes.. Old man replies well it was hard to skin the fucker when it was alive so I stab it 47 times ..
