I just wanted to take a second & let everyone know how all these awesome videos from Portland Wrestling made it on KZbin. I'm going skip the details & be brief. Buddy Rose would record the shows so he could study his matches and critique himself. Sadly Buddy passed away almost ten years ago, when his wife was going thru boxes she came across several boxes of video tapes. She gave them to a life long fan and more importantly a good friend of Buddy's to do a he wished. I'm skipping details but basically these tapes we're actually even older than VHS, some of this footage is over 40 years old. It took a lot of searching and a good chunk of money but finally after over a year he was able to have the footage transferred to a digital copy. He could have very easily kept these for himself & nobody would ever have "been the wiser". He has been working on getting as much footage as he can posted on KZbin, it's more time consuming than one would think. Prior to these videos there wasn't anything older the early 80's available online, or anywhere else "for that matter". Now, thanks to Buddy for recording those shows there is hundreds of hour's of some of the most amazing footage imaginable with everyone from Andre, Race, Flair, Lonny Mayne, Dynamite Kid, Iron Sheik, Rocky Johnson, Mr. Fuji, Jessie Ventura, Dizzy Hogan (aka Brutis Beefcake),Piper, The Sheepherders, Larry the Axe and his son Curt Henning and the list goes on and on.... I just wanted to take a minute and let everyone know how all of these amazing and unimaginably rare videos made there way from a 1977 Sports Arena in Portland to a (damn near moldy) box in Buddy's garage, then to a digital restoration company 2,000 miles from Portland and then finally to where it should be...in our homes via KZbin! I don't know this guy anymore than anyone else, there's a great podcast on the Wrestling Observer network called Portland Wrestlecast, it was on that podcast that I learned about this. Portland Wrestling was like the soundtrack to my childhood, I have such great memories from watching every Saturday night at 11:00 KPTV all the way in Aberdeen Wa. I guess I just wanted to take a moment and both make other fans aware of the work that went into this and to say thank you myself. I can't begin to express my gratitude for all the time, money and effort you went thru to make this happen, I guess all I can say is Thank you, thank you so much!!!!!

@@RingOfFireProWrestling You guys should cover the show Sandy booked in Vancouver (that was a total disaster) with AAA on the Portland wrestlecast. Of course who could forget Tonya Harding? Sandy told me he lost over $30,000 on that show. I would love to hear about the Extravaganza shows as well. Thanks

Amazing. I was wondering about this. This is History and is so enjoyable to watch wrestling at its finest and relive childhood memories. The Portland Sports Arena was home away from home on Saturday and sometimes Tuesday nights. So many of these guests have passed on now.

Wrestling fans are passionate. I've been a fan for 50 years, not interested in todays product but can't get enough of the old stuff I never caught.

Loved watching Matt Borne, always thought he was awesome as hell. Great body. That being said, it was pretty hot watching Buddy Rose open his forehead in this match. interesting how they played these matches out. It was a great series between these two.

Once I see a rassler lose clean by pinfall, I NEVER want to see that rassler again. Both these guys should have been off my TV permanently before their WWF runs.

@@michaelb9529 I only started seeing Pipper in NWA when he took the U.S. Tittle from Flare. He never jobbed clean on "free" TV by that time.
