I didn't know exactly how it affected them, because they obviously can't speak English & tell me. But the other day I started praying over one, & the other 3 came to me, from 3 different directions to pray over them too. So they definitely know it's something positive, & don't associate it with food or treats, because food is never involved. Not that there is anything wrong with this dog associating prayer with food. He/she is obviously very smart & well trained, & feels a positive association as well. I only mention the association with food, because some people will claim the dog doesn't know & has no idea what's going on - he/she is only responding that way because of the food, & conditioning. I don't believe that. I believe that : 1. Animals understand a lot more than they are often given credit for. 2. I believe the Bible when it says : Romans 1: 20 (NKJV) For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen _being understood by the things that are made_ even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse...

Buddy is such a good boy ^^ Non-human social animals have impressive pattern recognition of their own. Buddy may not understand the meaning of or sentiment behind Mama's words, but definately had a chance to observe that eating before those sounds happen is a no-no among his folks. Not all learned behavior is intentionally taught.
