All i can say is,it was such a huge step for MGI Org to crown a muslim girl from a muslim majority country to be a queen of an international beauty pageant,something that was unheard of before this,i can see that they really try to expand their portfolio by doing such unimaginable thing,and we admire their bravery

that is miss grand Indonesia' 2017 national costume it called "ibu pertiwi". ariska's national costume is very simple with a big head piece , the color is combined between red, gold and black. it called "royal sigokh"

Although I am agree with you regarding the overall performance of MGI contestants, that’s why I believe the winner is the winner. However though, MGI judging isn’t really clear at all. Like this 2016, if the winner is only based on final Q&A, Nicole Cordoves is the rightful winner, but during preliminary competition, she didn’t score anything, while Ariska won NatCos. Note, also some other MGI winner are quite controversial. Such as Paraguay in 2018, Venezuela in 2019 and Vietnam in 2021. I still can’t figure out what is the real criteria to be the winner of MGI.

@@Atebang I still can’t get over the loss of Indonesia in MGI 2021. I think Sophia deserved to be in top 5 at least if not the winner. To me personally, Vietnam didn’t have the aura for the crown.

@@Atebang Summary from the livestreams of Mr. Nawat, I think the criterion to choose an MGI is to evaluate the whole process like MW, Nawat respects the assessment of people around (underground judge) on personality, acumen, care helping others,... of the contestants, so it's not hard to see that when one wins, all the other contestants are very happy for them. In 2018 too, although the final night India was the best, the whole process she was not as outstanding as Paraguay (this information I heard from the news on the sidelines of the competition)
