I was a teen during the late 60's - early 70's .Embroidering on our Levi jeans was all the rage. I'd learned to embroider when I was younger - just the basic stuff but I really advanced my skills on my jeans. My pièce de résistance was my Levi jacket. I covered it nearly completely with embroidery. Throughout my life I've added touches of embroidery to many of my clothes & love how I could make them uniquely mine in just a few minutes. I'm so happy to see embroidery making such a comeback. It's so relaxing and the only limit to what you can do is your imagination.

Im an 80's teen & even though it wasn't popular at all in my crowd,😂🛸 I took up sewing in HomeEc classes & learned embroidery 🪡on the cuff, so that in my early 30's until today im designing🧵/ 'helping' 🧷store bought clothing along. Yes, I'm older👒, but my stuff is on trend from Gucci to Walmart 👑with only the 10th & less of the cost.💸 People want something they can't buy & it drives them crazy.🗯️💲💲💲 EVERY woman should learn this hidden skill.... 💣You can't even imagine 🪄what your missingout on 🧚⏳

My mom embroidered ALL the time. She would sew on quilt blocks that she ironed the pattern on and then her and dad would make quilts. All 5 kids, 7 grandkids and some of the great grandkids have quilts they made together. I just recently blanket stitched around a baby blanket. (2 pieces of flannel sewed together). And gave it to a friend for her baby.

The only suggestion I would make is to get an inexpensive embroidery hoop. It will make it easier and help to keep the tension on the fabric and thread even. It helps to prevent bunching.

You are doing so well with your embroidery. I have been embroidering since the 70's, and still enjoy it. It is much easier and comes out better if you use an embroidery hoop. They come in all sizes. I would've'be embroidered the gingerbread pieces before I cut them out. Great dupes!

I like seeing you try new things. I cannot remember when I first started stitching. I haven't done any embroidery in a while, but I still recognize the stitches. I do remember when I finally figured out I had been doing French knots wrong. They are so easy when you do them correctly. I then made a pillow that was almost all French knots!

The embroidery is my fave. My grandmother taught me to embroider when i was very little. Unfortunately, she went into the hospital when i was nine and died there when i was 10. So i only had a short time with her. But i used to embroider pillowcases, aprons, etc, and then later jeans and jean jackets. I have gotten kids' jean jackets from yard sales for my grandkids, and i embroidered on them to personalize them.i use an embroidery hoop to keep my work stable as im doing it. Great video. Thanks

Those 3 bells are awesome --a very pretty & simple Christmas display. Also, liked your black spray painted reindeer lots, lots more than your inspiration. I haven't embroidered anything for years. Not to be criticizing, but I think you would find it so much easier with an embroidery hoop. Many years ago I embroidered different designs on a chambray shirt -- it was all the rage. In junior high school I cross-stitched on gingham to make a geometric design and my Mom made me a skirt with matching blouse. I thought I was absolutely the bomb!!! It's fun learning new craft skills. I'm an "old dog" but I've learned so much from watching you. . .you can teach an old dog new tricks. Hope you're feeling well and counting down those last (most miserable) weeks.

I'm so glad you got a laugh out of it! I love the "Star Trek" reference 😂 it was all I could think of - that's what happens when I just talk to the camera vs. doing a voice over LOL

It’s hard to choose. Love them all. I am going to try the ornaments, the swag, and the bells.

I'm going to sprinkle a bit of cinnamon in mine. I have bolts of felt. I could make so many of the gingerbread snowflakes! 😂. I could have a blizzard in my house.

For those who don't embroider you could white puff paint to decorate the gingerbread cookies.
