I actually really like this kind of content and would enjoy seeing more. I dont have a regular group to play commander with so sometimes watching play is fun as well.

I watch a lot of videos myself, especially now. I filmed these back in March and thought it was a good idea to get these edited and posted.

The word “Brawl” confused me for a second.

@@BudgetEDH I liked the video very much. But the name confused me too. I think something like "Budget Play" or "Playing on a Budget" could fit.

Yeah, definetly you should change the word Brawl for this series. I would suggest Budget Battle, and then you describe the initial budget at the beggining of the video. Awesome job btw! Keep it going! I'm a budget player by heart so I always enjoy seeing budget decks battling.

Budget Battle, I like it! Definitely going to keep the series going. Learned a lot from an editing standpoint on this first one so the next one should be even better! :)

This channel is the budget version of The Commander’s Quarters.

Cool video. If I may suggest I'd add some deck description in the beginning. Main wincons or overall gameplay in like 2 sentences. Also would move sponsor bits before player/hand introduction

I like the video. One thing that might be nice would be to hear the players say what they are doing as opposed to a single narrator. It would break up the audio making it a little more interesting.

This is something that I want to do in future videos. Unfortunately it requires additional capital as I would need more than one mic. Appreciate the feedback!

When playing in person I always say; aloud "untap, upkeep, draw" as I move between them. ...but that is highly distracting in a recap. I daresay each of those words should only be said if it involves a trigger or unusual event. That's my biggest gripe. Also would be nice to see life totals at certain points (if not always), or at least a comment on them during key turns. Good work, I know it's hard stuff to create.

Budget Commander gameplay is exactly what I love to see, but you've gotta come up with a better title if only to keep from confusing people haha

I like your video and helpful budget decks! For videos like this you dont have to cut as much as you do. And itd be more interesting to hear the actual players talking/casting their cards. If your goal is just a 15min video to show the decks work then I can see this, but like I just mentioned above itd be more entertaining to hear the players as well as less cuts!
@BudgetEDH4 жыл бұрын
Definitely want to do this in the future. It requires a bit more capital to make it work (additional mics, cameras, etc) , but I’m hoping in the future we can make it work. Thank you for the feedback!

@@BudgetEDH yeah you're right, you definitely have something here that looks like it'll be worth while to invest in though! You can be that bridge between The Commander's Quarters and The Command Zone!!😀 keep up the good work!!

@@BudgetEDH I disagree with Matt. Unless there's a joke you want to leave in, some sort of remark that gives more insight into the gameplay, but honestly you could probably narrate that. It comes down to personal preference, but I can't even watch the streamed games on other channels. As for cuts, I thought you did really well. In all fairness, to make your life easier, you could choose to cut library searches and long (>2 minute board evaluation moments). That could also allow you an opportunity for more commentary on what's going on (I.e. "John's contemplating swinging at me, or holding back blockers.") so we have more context of decision making. My own feedback: Unsleeved lands face down work for extra tokens if you don't have enough of one type.

Just wondering, when the Commander's Sphere was targeted by Decimate, could he have sac'd it in response fizzling the Decimate? Great content btw!

Because the channel is called budget brawl, a great but time consuming idea would be a tournament based around a hard 200 dollar limit for everyone, plus or minus 5%. HOWEVER two additional caveats. Whenever you win, you have to remove 10 dollars from the deck, and the losers only five. Repeat this process until someone hits 150 and start with new decks, going to 100 and then finally 50. (Not sure how a point system would work, but there is a way I'm sure) . Once it gets down to fifty, gotta ascend the deck back to 200, but the winner gets 15, losers get 10.

We play legacy multiplayer brawl too and I loved the idea watching this video and decklists...But your decklist isn't brawl but commander... Can you fix this please? P.s. I use Markov and I was expecting to see the decklist in order to find which card I need and which I don't because cutting 40 cards out of 100 needs a lot of experience.
