I really like your design. I would love to copy it for myself. The problem I have is finding the parts you're using. I retired in Thailand and sometimes it's difficult to find the right parts. It would be great if you made a parts list and we're to obtain them. Again, really nice build, I really like it a lot.

The axis that goes from left to right is the X axis and axis with the motors on each side is the Y axis. I just built one like these last year and used the same linear carriages they work ok not the best but they get the job done. Going to upgrading to linear guide rails. I was having issues with the X axis with using the bearing carriages I was getting to much wobble I couldn’t get it right so I modify them to use them with linear guide. Like I said will be doing the Y axis soon. Good job on the build and info

I'm just getting around to finishing the table... still working out the small items but haven't had any trouble doing test runs with the guide rails... yet. The scale on the software is giving me some greviences right now

Oh man I had a hard time with linuxcnc well getting the torch height controller going. But you really need to know how to edit ini.files and Hal.files if you want to customize it. But the forums for them are great they can show you and help you set it up. Just an FYI torch height control is the way to go I tried it with out one and it was a pain standing there holding down material with stick so it can cut. But once you get it all going to it gets easier.

Why 1 inch thick tubing?
@Legacy4x4andOffRoadYT3 жыл бұрын
Not 1" thick, some rails were 1x1, ~.120 wall

Hey since you have the CNC my failed project might be better for you. I tried making lunaroutlaw a cut out siiloughet of his car to make a back lit sign for him... I just didn't have the skills

were still buttoning up a lot of small issues were having with accuracy with the machine... soon enough!
@watahyahknow4 жыл бұрын
might had been a good idea to make the machine with flanges so you can take it apart , it reminds me of a guy building a boat in his basement and found out it couldnt fit through the exit

what was the seller's name on ebay for the brackets?
@Legacy4x4andOffRoadYT3 жыл бұрын
For those brackets it was "wiseco16" here is a link to this style of brackets. For my second machine I ended up using extruded aluminum and making my own brackets for it. www.ebay.com/itm/CNC-Router-Plasma-Gantry-Carriage-Rail-Car-NEMA-23-motor-2x2-2x3-or-2x4/124393221647?hash=item1cf669ee0f:g:HEwAAOSwJppdRA8y&var=425266968652
