Some observations from an old car guy. Do some smaller club events (autokhana etc) to up all your skillsets in a safer environment. Dodging cones is generally safer for a starting point, and it's cheap fun. Any car without ABS, learn to Pulse brake (manual ABS) and threshold brake. I think once you sort your pedal feel out that should be WAY easier. Lowered super stiff cars look cool but are usually mediocre performance wise due to compromised geometry. Consider raising it a little and making it more compliant, a good wheel alignment is worth its weight in gold. If your racing class allows it, maybe look at a trianulated front strut brace from the towers to the firewall. Best of luck
