Ah yes 1k everybody can just drop 1k on a camera. Surely this must prove it is the photographer not the gear.....how about you use point and shoots. How about gear from 2014? This may be fun but it doesn't prove a point.Imho it would be more interesting if you did not have the convenience of modern cameras like wireless or moveable focus point or touch screens. Your mileage may vary.Now this is nothing more than youtube photographer crossover.

Irene- NICE job, per usual. You have the eye...and the "feel". And you are a Photoshop MASTER. I remember years ago looking at your shots, dissecting the (obviously) artificial lights, and....finding out you used NOTHING except ambient lighting....and amazing PS chops. And the chops continue. Anyone would be a fool to say either one was not spectacular, however If I was going to choose I lean towards Irene's because the color and feel of the photo is amazing. Perhaps her story brought me back to some distant memories of when I was in Europe during the Cold War Era and that tipped the scales. Looking forward to when you can get all of your "challenge" competitors together for a shoot out with the same model, and bring Seth his commentary is always an asset.

Vanessa, I love this series! This is my favorite video of the series so far. Vanessa, absolutely love that you use a crop sensor camera and utilize your knowledge of light and what the camera can do. Both final images are truly great . From a technical viewpoint there is nothing in it. Top marks to you both. So , this opinion is subjective and does not reflect technical ability . I personally preferred the vintage look, but I am vintage my dears, so forgive me . Loved both of you and it was an excellent video as we all have come to expect from you both . Would love to see more videos of you both doing joint projects like this, as I admire the photos you both take.
