My main “budgetish”rifle upper consists of a 12.5 inch Rosco K9 barrel, Triarc easy pin gas block, dead air xeno flash hider, KE arms standard BCG, Anderson upper receiver, 11.5 inch Midwest industries combat rail, and a BCM gunfighter mod 3b charging handle. Good video

I ALWAYS just leave them in the bay. Some people are even more poor/it’s still usable.

I'd be curious to see how the Centurion c4 style rails do in this test. Same with a urx, preferably the 13.75" 3.1.

If I get a chance within the next few weeks I'll try this test with my Cross Machine and Tool rail, I forget the model name but its one of the 15" ones with the Arca profile. Not sure how I will do it though cuz I don't have a shooting tripod. I do have a camera tripod though and since it has an arca rail maybe it'll mount to it--honestly not sure if that'll work with what I got but I'll figure out a way to test it. The barrel is a Criterion CORE, the idea was to be a "DMR" type build. Edit: I could also try it with some other rails. I got some BCM MCMRs and also a RIS 2, I also have a Geissele Mk16 but its a 10.5" variant so not really relevant. Lemme guess, Hodge barrel in the gucci build?

How does the URX4 Rail perform when testing rail flex and poi shift?

Why would that cause a poi shift? The rail shouldn't contact the barrel nor does it interfere with the scope. Is it putting pressure on the barrel nut? Would that be a rail ussue? Sorry lots of questions.

All good and yeah the poi shift can be due to a large flex on the end of the rail causing a small flex at the barrel nut deflecting the point of aim on the barrel

So would that be a rail issue or a loose or low quality barrel nut? I might try the same barrel nut and barrel but change out only the handguard. I'd think with all things being equal the handguard would only shift laser zeros and such.

Most rails come with their own barrel nut so I view it as a system

@@561gingerninja Pretty much every rail will do this to some extent with the exception being monolithic uppers like LMT and hell they might do it if you put enough weight on the end. Its a known issue.
