We knew for decades the fiat system was not long term sustainable, and deficits would get out of control. I heard about this when I was in high school and casual talk of adults when I was young about Medicare and social security running out some day. It’s just that for decades that was always a future problem but now it’s a within the next 10 years kind of problem. I think things will be okay a couple more years but will start to worsen more and more after that.

The problem with govt taxing asset inflation, is that they create the inflation to start with. This then incentivises the govt to create more inflation to increase tax revenue, whereas tax revenue would be better coming from productive part of economy

I agree! It's not fair to take from those who are successful financially. But the generations there after need a chance as well. A new system and backed currency needs to be put in place to keep the ball rolling. Otherwise mankind won't reproduce by fertility or financially. If the system wasn't set up where everything revolves around it, then no one would care, but as we know, that isn't the case. I became an 'adult' in 1970 when the British PM was Heath..I have lived through 13 PMs and their Chancellors via 8 CONservative and 5 LIEbour Governments and ALL have been Dog Poop...dispite 'higher' Educations, a raft of Historical information on Economics and privileged backgrounds the British poLIEtical class have Never, Ever, got the Economy 'right'..the simple truth is...these people are not, and never have been, good enough to run UKplc. However, we are Stuck with them and the System..which is why Britain will continue its Terminal Decline to become the Argentina of the North Atlantic, probably, before the end of this century. 🇬🇧➡️📉

Exactly, i ask people what good has any gov done for you, name one thing they have done that has made your standard of living better in return for what you put in, its a cr4p deal.

Yep. What shocked me is how do we put faith on an entity (government) to drive economy? People in government have never generated a penny from economic enterprise. They dont know how to. None of them have any idea to run even a small shop to make a profit! The only recipe they know is to take money £££ from Peter to "give" Paul and at the same time they siphon some for themselves!. I guess one can call this is their fee for carrying out a transaction? My 2 cents.
