Budgeted Trip to Satpura Tiger Reserve | How to book, Safari Cost and Timings

About a couple of months ago, we were at Satpura Tiger Reserve. And it is certainly one of the most beautiful Tiger Reserves of India. When we uploaded our wildlife vlog of the Madhai Zone, we got a few questions on how to book this safari at Madhai, what are the costs, how to get there etc. So, we thought of making this video answering all those questions.
Now for us, the entire trip to Satpura costed Rs 6,500 for 6 people. Let’s explore all the options available.
There are two Safari Slots at Madhai: Morning and Evening. The month-wise timings are:
Morning Safari
October - December & April - June: 6:00 am to 11:30 am
January - March: 6:30 am to 11:30 am
Evening Safari
October - December: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
January - March: 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
April - June: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
The Lagda Zone in Madhai is good and the one we went to. For the Jeep Charges Per safari, there are two options:
1. You can either book the full jeep. The charges are Rs. 4,980 if you book the entire jeep. A jeep can occupy up to 6 tourists, and has one guide and one driver. If you book this, there is no other charge.
2. The other option is to Book individual Seats. If you are less than 6 people, you can also book safari on a per seat basis. The cost per seat is Rs. 830. However, keeping in mind the Covid times, it is advisable to book full jeep. It also gives you a liberty to enjoy safari on your own terms. If you have a camera or need more space to sit, you can book an extra dummy seat.
Apart from what we just discussed, there is no other safari cost. This cost, however, is just for one safari. If you take more than one, cost multiplies. In our case, we returned the same day and just took one evening safari. We left from Gadarwara city of Narsinghpur district at 11 in the morning, reached Satpura around 2 and were back home by 8:30 pm. Since the one side distance was only 100 kms, we spent less than Rs 1,500 on fuel.
The next question arises, how to Book your safari. Again, you have two options.
1. If you are absolutely sure about the dates, book it online in advance from official website of MP Forest. Here is the link: forest.mponlin...
2. The other option is to can reach the Madhai Campus 45 minutes before the safari time and book on the spot. They usually keep 2 jeeps for the same day booking from the window. Our trip was not pre-planned so we booked it from the window.
For the hotels, we did not book any because we returned the same day. But there are quite a few economical options available. The one you see in this video is the MPT Bison Resort. It is quite good and located less than 1 minute from the safari campus. For other options, you can check out MMT or any other hotel booking website.

Brother. For family outing its good, but make sure there is enough water. Which is usually after rains Also, try Panchmarhi if you dont wanna do a safari and just a picnic 🙏🏻

If i go to pachmarhi then i would have to stay which is not possible for me right now due to time... as there had been rain few days ago in BHOPAL and nearby so there would be rain.... Brother im short of time rightnow so cant go to panchmarhi. If i go to pachmarhi then i will jave to stay which is not possible rightnow due to time... Their had been rain in bhopal and around few days ago so their would be water in madai... So would u suggest to go for ONE DAY PICNIC with family and not doing safari?? Hi Nagesh, thanks for your query. Here’s our response from official sources. Hope this is helpful. There are 3 forest rest houses at Pachmarhi, 2 at Churna and 1 at Madhai each with double bedrooms. These rooms can be booked through the Satpura Tiger Reserve office. Accommodation can be booked in advanced during the office hours (1030-1730 hrs) over phone [phone]), fax [phone]) & email ([e-mail]) The right of reservation remains with the Field Director, Satpura Tiger Reserve.

@@DiscoverWildPaws I have visited madai... We only saw fox... And compare to Kahna NP, Bandhavgarh NP and Pench madai has very small visiting area and density of forest is not good enough. And I believe madad has small numbers of tiger. So chances of tiger sighting is very very less.
