"Budgie was one of the finest Power Trios, and hottest Proto-Metal bands on the Planet in the 70s. But they were also great at writing wonderful ballads, and softening the sharp edges of their songs with subtle coloration and nuances. Well there is nothing Proto or Subtle about 1980s Power Supply. This album is a nuclear fueled roaring death machine, couched in it own awesome power and assured in it's destructive capabilities. The Guitars on this album are all fire, all Heavy Metal all the time. And song after song is just a showcase jam for new Guitarist John Thomas' muscular chops. This album is ultra heavy and loud. And must be turned all the way up to be fully appreciated."

Budgie é uma querida banda do coração. Lembro de ainda adolescente comprar o LP, In For The Kill, versão argentina, na Galeria do Rock, em SP, Brasil. O tenho até hj. A música "Gunslinger" é o q chamávamos de petardo. Sensacional álbum!

I prefer Budgie's earlier albums, particularly the ones from their first through "If I Were Brittania I'd Waive the Rules." (I can take or leave "Impeckable.") Replacing Budgie's first guitarist Tony Bourge with guitarist John Thomas (RIP) modernized Budgie's sound but it also removed the quirky artiness that made Budgie different, interesting and instantly recognizable to anyone who had heard them only once. Here, they are indistinguishable from so many other early '80s metal bands apart from maybe bassist Burke Shelley's vocals. For the '80s Budgie I will say that Budgie's cover of "Bored With Russia" from their 1982 album "Deliver Us From Evil" was catchy and better than the original.

I'm very much of the same mind.Have all their album's and just can't get into Impeccable at all .Saw them many times and they always put on a good show. I consider the debut album as one of rocks greatest albums ever.
