Poor dog got pushed off by 2nd guy who starts to panic because the horses were turning wrong way too fast. You can see the other guys in red shirts start to help out and stop the lead horses. I watched a future one of these demos on another video, and they now have Barley the dog, go back on top of the wagon behind them when they do this turn to both sides. Then when they are done they have him come sit back down. With all the reins and moving them around, they didn't have much room up there anyway.

They should have a seethru container attach to the top for the dog to be in & safe. Just the sides & No top; in case the wagon falls over & the dog can escape. From an Aussie [Australian]. The coward chap terrible to push the poor dog off the wagon!

Dalmatians probably the only dogs who were bred next to horses. Next to fire couches to clear the area from unwanted people while firefigters extinguish the fire back in time. @@marijaneplacek3090 unfortunately deafness was bred into the breed its their big issue. Well not all of them deaf but its genetical. Dalmatians not too famous in my homecountry what not bad... at leas they are not bred crazily in puppymills. I dont know other couch dogs tho. I might google to learn this field. I am more into lifestock dogs. I was surprised that dalmatians were bred to help fire couch horses I geniuely thought they were only bred for their fancy coat not for being workdogs. 😬 well I learned years ago they were bred to be couch dogs.

Best dog I ever had was my Dalmatian, Domino. 1972-1986. Was very upset that more attention was not paid to this dog and took a hard fall. Was amazed he could run, let alone walk. Family and friends still tell stories of their experiences with him. There is no time limit on grief…I still have moments of missing him terribly. Still have a photo of him on my frig. ❤

If you watch carefully, the dog was accidentally pushed off. The horses stopped listening and decided to turn towards the back of the wagon, which would have very quickly turned into a major disaster with horses, the dog, and the people in the arena getting hurt. The horses turning pulled the driver over into the assistant's spot, and the assistant into the dog's spot. Luckily he landed mostly okay and didn't get stepped on. I've never had a dalmatian but I've always thought they were so pretty!

Transfers used to maneuver 8 horse hitches in crowed street and narrow back alleys behind the bars. Alot less room than a big round ring and none of the horses were fitted with bearing reins. A good teamster could maneuver his team by voice alone without the reins at all, I like to see the current Budweiser teams do that.

Many years ago, I went to Sea World in Orlando, Florida by myself. I live near Tampa, love to photograph animals, so sometimes I would go to those places alone so I could take photos and not have someone saying, "Come on, you got enough photos!!" I had the day off from work so it wasn't crowded that day. I went into the barn area so I could get photos of the newborn baby Clydesdale horse in the stall with her momma. I was completely alone in the barn except for horses. I noticed my film was needing to be changed, so I squatted down and used my black bag. Film was very sensitive and you needed to put it in, in as dark of a place as possible. My boyfriend had given me a black bag that had places for your hands and I could change out film in less than 25 seconds. I could hear a woman yelling, STOP, NO!! COME HERE. I assumed it was someone yelling at a child. I suddenly felt this slobbery, big, kiss. I looked and there was a Dalmatian dog, tail wagging. She was wet and had no collar on. I knew she was one of the Budweiser dogs. I said hello to her and she was sniffing my clothing. I had 2 dogs & 4 cats at home so she had a lot to smell. I looked around and couldn't find anyone near by. I was looking for either an employee or someone to get an employee. In the meantime, I didn't want her to run off. Now the yelling flashed back and I thought, oh they must have been trying to get her to stop running. I had already put my camera back in my bag but I unhooked the strap of the bag and made a loop to use as a leash. She was perfectly content as she had someone to scratch her behind the ears (made her back foot thump!!), plus to her I smelled like other dogs & cats. A young couple came in the barn. I asked them to go to the Budweiser building and see if they were looking for her. They did. Suddenly, in ran 3 people! They said thank you so much! She had apparently decided to roll in horse poop and they had to give her a bath. She took the opportunity to run when they were switching out the bathing loop. The poor girl said she ran to Shamu Stadium and down the steps to the area where people could watch the Orcas in a back pool. As the girl went to grab her she took off again. She was one of the ones that stops & waits till you get a foot away and then runs off. The girl and 2 other employees were chasing her when the beer employees called them on their two-way radios and said someone found the dog and has a temporary leash on her. She is waiting with the dog in the Clydesdale Barn. I said I used to have a dog that did the same thing. Took off running and then stopped & waited. So I was given 2 free tickets to Sea World that I could use at any time as a thank you for keeping her there!! She was so cute with her spotted coat. They also gave me a front row place where they came out with the team, dog, & wagon all go around the area. Unfortunately I am only 5' tall so if I do not get up front for anything, I only see the person in front of me. I got to be up front, next to the announcer and he told the audience that I had rescued the dog earlier that day after she had to get a bath after rolling in 💩!! She wasn't a fan of baths and when she saw the opportunity to run, she did! Of course my boyfriend asked why I didn't get a case of beer, instead of 2 free passes? I still remember standing in front of one of those horses! I looked like a 3 year old standing in front of that horse!

Otherwise I cannot reach the brake & gas pedals. Any time I take the car for an oil change, I forget to put the seat back. The one guy flopped down in the seat & got stuck. He was not happy. Now he asks me, "Did you put the seat back?" If I forgot, I will get in and move it back for him. Now at least the movie theaters have the extremely steep floors so I can see if there is a crowd. I was wondering how/why a dog could lose balance, because they seldom do....come to find out, he didn't lose balance at all, the guy, in his haste to get to the rein, pushed him out of his way, and off he went! They weren't looking at the dog, they were twisting their necks to relieve the pressure from the very tight bearing reins. Bearing reins were described in the novel Black Beauty by Anna Sewell about the many forms of horses abuse. Horse and people are being injured and killed and news of this is being hushed. Bearing reins are causing injuries and deaths in shows and parades but the word never gets out. The name bearing rein was changed to overcheck rein to throw people off but the result is the same. Much horse agony and pain. Animals can't cry so no one notices unless you look carefully.

@@jamihede4440 watch real horses ,not horses on videos, watch when they are harnessed, unharnessed, their reactions, I have been studying harnessed horses for years to come to this conclusion. I did not come to this conclusion lightly or overnight. Animals are not able to complain, it has taken 50 years for something to start being done about Tennessee Walking horse abuse. I have taken videos of harnessed horses and played them slo-motion, backwards, forwards and these animals are in pain. I have been working in the horse industry a long time and have heard every excuse unmanageable for how things are done.

@@jamihede4440 they can move their heads around but ALSO watch in bearing rein restrained horses, when they stop after pulling a load, they almost always lower and stretch their necks. I admit I do not precisely know why they must do this but they get even more agitated when they stop and can't lower their heads.

I studied horse behavior and their head movements are not playful. The only time horses thrash their heads in this manner us when they are fitted with a bearing rein.

Read what I said, watch real horses Behind the scenes when horses are hitched and unhitched, the change in attitude when the overcheck rein is attached to the harness saddle hook. I worked horse shows behind the scenes and have been listening to horseowners bull (spin) for a lot of years, and I know spin when I hear it. I bought a former bearing rein horse and it took years for her to learn that I was not going to attach a bearing rein. She knew exactly in the harnessing process that the bearing rein would be attached and reacted the same way each time at the very moment the rein would have been attached. She went ballistic would put it mildly. She reared up and spun around in the harness and snapped the 3/8 inch thick wagon tongue pin. And she wasn't a big powerful draft horse, just a 14-2 light weight, not even a halflinger, she did this even when line driving, anytime someone came near her withers like to hook up the overcheck.

The dog did not fall off but was pushed off. What happened was the lead horses were going to turn back into the other horses. This happened last month in San Antonio it is very dangerous to the horses. The gear gets tangled up and the horses could be injured. In San Antonio he jumps off to try to stop them but was to late.

That dog didn't FALL off the wagon, he was pushed so the guy could grab the reins. That sucks, but the horses are their priority, I suppose. I'm glad the dog is okay.

I just watched another video where they were doing these tight turns and one of the horses fell causing several others to fall. They all got tangled and it took awhile to get them all untangled and back on their feet. It was scary. They need to stop doing these stupid maneuvers and just ride the wagon around the arena. People just want to look at their majestic beauty, not see them treated like trick ponies. Just stop!!

That jerk next to the driver almost pushed him off with his body when they were moving the horses sideways! I was thinking that they shouldn't have the dog on the bench with them if they were going to practically squish him off the edge! I felt better when the same guy moved the dog to sitting between them for a few seconds, and felt better, still, when he took the dog in his arms, sitting him on his lap. THAT is where the poor dog fell from - that man's ARMS! Looked like he suddenly needed to do something with the reins again, put the dog on the very end of the bench (where there isn't enough room for the dog, anyway), there was NO ROOM for him and he fell DIRECTLY from that man's arms, to the ground! Then, people clapped because the dog was able to run from the oncoming horses??? Animals (and, people) can appear perfectly well after an accident due to the high rush of adrenaline which is the result of the "fight or flight" instinct when danger is sensed - he flew/ran! He could have been injured even though they picked him up and put him down, letting him run off! He should have been examined on the GROUND because moving him might have made an unknown injury worse. Then carry him off - even if he wants to walk. This is basic First Aid any time there is a fall from a high distance! I'm shocked and disappointed! I do hope the dog was, indeed, uninjured. They need to extend the length of the bench for the dog in cases of emergency, like happened there. It was completely avoidable had the bench been longer. They were relieved that he could run because it made it look like their irresponsible handling of the dog, both, before and after the fall, had no negative effect!
