Looks and sounds great. The xb’s are to this day one of my favorite motorcycles. There’s honestly nothing like them out there. They aren’t fast but the enjoyment factor on them is huge. Feels like a moped with a Harley motor in it.

I've owned every Buell from the bolt to the 1190RX and can tell you that the best thing Eric ever did was move away from the XB series. They love to rod knock!!! The Rotax is way more reliable and I'm yet to see the inside of one

Nice sound AND THE chain drive looks nice. Chain Drive makes quite a difference when first leaving the traffic light. UH, JUST be sure Mr. OFFICER unfriendly is not watching nearby BECAUSE my friends found out leaving the Traffic Light burning rubber OR Wheelies across an intersection REALLY Ticks off some Officers. So yeah nice sounding ride LOVE THOSE BUELLS.

I have owned every Buell from the first production all the way through to the current 1190. Truth of the matter is that the XB series is fragile and love to rod knock. The Rotax based motors are a bit more solid as my 1125rx has around 62k mile and haven't seen the inside of it yet

I’d say just the opposite.. I blew two 1125s at the track. Timing chain skipped on both. Both were under 10k miles. In my opinion those engines were made to be raced hard and then completely stripped and rebuilt. FYI.. the 1125 models were still considered an XB I took my 2003 XB9r to 57,000 miles with nothing but oil changes.. and i beat the hell out of it. It was the 12th bike off the production line.

​@Down Low & Go I find that hard to believe but then again you didn't say you took the XB to the track which is a big difference, Buell couldn't keep the Harley setup together on the track, mostly blew gear boxes but their Rotax setup was far more reliable for them. Wish I could have figured out how to make my firebolt not leak oil.

@@fiddynutz68 I did take my firebolt to the track for years. Only thing I did was rebuild the forks and replace the rear shock. Besides that I did oil and primary change every 1500. And of course normal stuff like pads, plugs, air filter. It had a buel racing ECM with d&d exhaust. I believe I did replace the drive belt 3 to 4 times but I was really hard on it. It definitely would’ve benefited from the chain conversion. I ended up selling it to a guy who totaled it the next week. It was one of the cleanest 2003s… I was so mad at the guy. I remember I paid almost $400 for some original Xb short frame pucks. The bike was all done correctly it was beautiful… damn damn man now I’m getting all sad just thinking about it. They are not by any means rare or difficult to find, but they are almost impossible to find in the condition that mine was especially being a first month production bike. It’s just one more that’s gone from the world now.

No re-mapping didn't make or feel any difference after the change, i did the chain conversion to enjoy the highway, much faster and smooth at high speed , which is exactly what i was looking for, thank you
