Buff & polish 2K CLEAR COAT! - 4K TEST VIDEO!

Polish should stay wet for 2 passes then remove with 3rd pass or so. Otherwise pad can get gummed up. The orange pads are for rubbing compound they are a heavy cut. You are not getting the best results. Black cap you use black pad on those generic 3” pads you buy online. Orange pad is compound, yellow pad is #2 (swirl remover)

@@nickmusgrave8t 3M perfect it pads are the best. Then you match them up to the cap on the polish. For doing things like this, on these interior parts, I prefer to skip the #2. You can get away with going from #1 or 1step to #3. You can buy the stuff in small bottles if you are just doing some random projects. The spray max 2k that Doug uses is excellent! Make sure to wear respirator tho. If you search how to use 3m perfect it system you will see some videos. The trizact foam sandpaper is awesome and it lasts forever.

3m rubbing compound an machine polishing compounds an polish are dry application you do not need water you are correct on the pads, never try the 3m 5000 trizact if you use the grades of paper 1500,2000 then 2500 grit finishing of with the 3000 trizact

My dad was a paint and body guy for years but sad to say wasnt a hobby I was interested in at the age. Shops started scalping on paying him correct times he worked at at least 4-5 different shops throughout my childhood. Owned his own shop in Downtown closed right after 9/11. Doug... I think you already know but the orange buff pad is for heavy cutting and the white is for fine buffing. Not saying that you did it backwards become it worked but if you used the white pad last, with the finish compound, it may be even better

The video quality is really good. Watching from a 100" 4k projector so i see up your nostrils :D. Audio levels are fine, not too loud on the air tool or compressor. Also can hear you OK. I'm satisfied with a weekly episode (if its the normal style). These live ones, you could upload every now and then, when you feel you have something to show "behind the scenes". Tricks of the trade sorta stuff, you know. You shouldn't push out too many episodes a week so the quality wont drop. Quality > Quantity IMO. But that said, I watch what ever you post so, you do you! :)

Try the Green 3m perfect it one step. And get the matching 3m pads. It cleans up way better than the yellow bottle and you can hit it with the #3 to really get it shiny. The matching 3M pads are important for best results
