I think I have a right to play these songs if I wish, I was somewhat involved in their creation. We're not pretending to be Buffalo, I'm performing Buffalo songs with 3 of the best players in Australia. After decades doing other things it's great to revisit this stuff with a line-up that can cut it. Thanks Evil Invaders. BTW can't please em all.

Yes Dave you have every right to play those songs. If anyone has a problem they can go toss off.

Thank you DoomMetalSludge, I guess I'm pretty lucky with my voice, it's held up quite well considering my lifestyle; then again, I've never stopped performing and like athletes it's about maintaining match fitness and learning how best to to use what you have. I have to thank Peter Ross, Harry Brus and Paul Wheeler, who've supported me enthusiastically to replicate the drive and power of Buffalo, it would be difficult to achieve with lesser lights. Already there are plans for more shows, yeehaa.

Damn I enjoyed this, a lot of fun revisiting those old tunes with some great players. Good news is that we've been asked to reprise our performance already, we've been contracted to perform in Melbourne on Thursday 12th September at the Corner hotel, Richmond and have agreed to do so. There is a possibility of at least one more Melbourne show; stay tuned. Anybody interested in a stand alone Sydney gig?? Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth anyone???

Thanks Aaron, glad to hear you discovered Buffalo and enjoy our music, you're obviously a generation or two behind me; and that's the greatest thing for me; to realize my music still has some relevance is very gratifying. When we recorded those albums (5 in all) we never thought they'd have a life longer than a year or so at best, in fact the commercial side of the music business ignored us at the time, a bit too confrontational for them; but hey here we still are.

It's Buffalo if Dave is in it....playing Buffalo songs........and they're playing as good as Buffalo.........and the band is kicking some major ass here.

@davetice370811 жыл бұрын
pretty spooky Jon!!! I suppose it's not so surprising that you should find it somehow familiar, I'm aware that many of the Stoner/Doom bands of today trace their influences back to what Buffalo were exploring back in the 70s, which is very flattering. Back in the day we were considered too "heavy" for commercial radio and other media which we found very frustrating, it's good to know that despite this the band has retained it's credibility and is still held in high regard by aficionados..

Dave I had the pleasure to start listening to Buffalo a couple of years ago after reading Blood Sweat and Beers, it has blown me away as my music I was listening to had become stale and Buffalo has given me a new groove to listen to. Wish I was old enough to listen to you back then and of course you can play your own stuff you invented it, its yours.

Thanks Nathan, it's folks like yourself that make it all worthwhile. After doing this show I'm pumped by the idea we might be able to do a few more. The boys really did a great job on the songs injecting plenty of enthusiasm and carrying me through; if the chance comes up I'd jump at it again.

Many thanks to those (a Majority) who expressed their displeasure with the "knocker". Thank you Nikki for telling the facts, and thanks for inviting us to participate in Evil Invaders V. It was a pleasure to be involved and a lot of enjoyment for us to play those songs and see the response from a new generation of Hard Rock fans. Surprised me how many knew all the words to songs recorded before they were born!!!!

Glad you enjoyed it mate, there is footage of the full show and we'll be putting up 2 more (semi) official vids on the Buffalo Revisited site very soon. In September we're repeating the show in Melbourne where I hope to get a more professional video of the full show, hopefully we'll have a chance to release it depending on how well it turns out and if there's enough interest. Dave.

One of my all-time favourite albums even after all these years. I was seven years old when Volcanic Rock was released. My best mate gave me the cassette. Pure awesomeness!

Great to hear some good old Ozzie Rock. Volcanic Rock and Only Want You For Your Body,a couple of top albums. A bit of trivia for you folks. Did you know that the album Only Want You For Your Body had to be sold in Melbourne under the counter in a brown paper bag as the cover was deemed to offensive at the time.

Hi, I see you're a Hawkwind fan, quite right too, I worked across England with Lemmy and Motorhead during the late 70s while I was singing with The Count Bishops; many a wild night and hungover drives. We and Motorhead were briefly both signed to Chiswick records at the time. Glad you enjoyed our live video, this line-up is kicking arse and we'll be touring down to Melbourne shortly; I'm hoping to do more shows in the near future, forgotten how much I enjoy playing those songs.

Hi Dave, I started listening to Buffalo around 5 years ago after coming across Shylock on KZbin. Since then you've been one of my favourite vocalists and your voice still sounds great today. Glad to hear more gigs are planned, but I'm on the other side of the world, so I'll keep a look out on youtube!

The current line-up of the Dave Tice Band already have a DVD of a live show (self produced) which is a taster really and in very small numbers, I've written new songs for the band and intend to record sometime soon; in fact I have done a number of albums with different groups of players since returning to Oz; if Buffalo Revisited does more shows I'll arrange a live recording soon too..

@@MrSadsack56 Planned release date for a Buffalo (revisited) live album of the Volcanic Rock 45th anniversary show is January 2022. Ripple will be starting to make announcements quite soon and I believe they plan to put out a single as promo prior to that release. I have to say I'm impressed by their enthusiasm and the work they're putting into it. keep an eye on their Facebook and web pages.

This is NOT Buffalo. This is the Dave Tice Band number 41! The rest of the band, John Baxter, Jimmy Economou and Alan Milano are all still alive & very capable of gigging. This band is a total misrepresentation of Buffalo & simply a money-making shame. Tice should hang his head...........
