Major factual errors in the narrative. Buffalo is on Lake Erie, not Ontario. The population of Buffalo is about 276,000 in 2021, according to the US Census Bureau. 1.2 million is the metro area which includes Cheektowaga, West Seneca, the Tonawandas and more.

In prehistoric times in central PA there was The Great Buffalo Swamp. I think that might have something w/ the numerous north flowing rivers of this entire region: the Niagara River included.

My ancestors moved here in the end of the 1800’s, only 1 of the 6 children eventually returned to Sweden and she is my great-great-grandmother. They settled in Buffalo and i still have living relatives there, such as my grandmother’s 2nd cousin. I feel a connection to Buffalo and i have my sights on visiting the place somewhere in the future.
