Amazing version of “Clancy,” great harmonies and instrumentation, Bruce Palmer was the real deal.

@@Dustbrother1099 Duh, it says Jim Fielder in the description!! Had to look him up, founding member of Blood Sweat and Tears, so he was legit!

The sound at Monterey is very good. Might be released officially. Too bad Neil wasn't there

I was there. Thank you so much for posting this. It was a strange line up. The Seeds, The Fifth Dimension, Johnny Rivers, and I think The Supremes.

Oh my gosh, does this bring back the very good memory of seeing the band in a place called the Crimson Cougar in Aurora (Montgomery), Illinois in May of 1967. A fantastic afternoon show.

Saw them opening for The Rolling Stones at the Hollywood Bowl. Thank you. Your tape vault is a treasure.

The original line up! How wonderful! That means it includes Bruce Palmer, my favorite member. How I love him. Rest in peace my precious Bruce Palmer.

Hi Annette, that old girlfriend of his Long Tall Sally stole my Dad's Martin Guitar. I'd love to find it if she's still alive. From when they were living in North Hollywood off Vanowen.

Thanks a lot for the Buffalo Springfield! Absolutely love anything to do with Neil, CSNY, or the Springfield, keep them coming if you’ve got more! Also love the yardbirds stuff lately. Thanks again, your channel is fantastic!

Saw them open for The Beach Boys Seattle about this time. They stole the show to the degree that they were invited back on stage and both bands jammed for the last half hour.

Their best live recording with the original lineup. Feel the energy on Pay the price. If they only had a better producer for their first record.

I attended this concert in 1967 when I was 14. It was my first "real" concert. The headliner act was The Supremes. Opening bands were Buffalo Springfield, The Seeds The Fifth Dimension & Johnny Rivers. I still have my ticket stub. The show was promoted by 93 KHJ radio so all tickets sold for only 93 cents.

Thanks for this. It's too bad some shows like this had such really obnoxious emcees and horrendous sound systems... Bill Graham and Chet Helms had the opposite.... but it's easily transcended by the band's skill, energy and drive. Nobody sounded like The Buffalo Springfield.

He was right - 'The Man' is telling us what to put in our bodies (vaccines), what to drive, what light bulbs to use, what to call an human with a penis, to believe men can get pregnant... sounds like 'The Man' has a lot more power than we even feared back then.
