I started my lifting journey when I was 16 years old , found these guys one day on KZbin and I just remember watching every video every exercise tutorial, I become obsessed took what I learned here and applied it at the local gym , I'm 23 now , 16 year old me would have never thought that I will look the way I do when I'm older, I'm so grateful for the wonderful information you have provided us with, I tell my friends that I am a student of the buff dudes, old school rock n roll lifting the way the god intended it to be . What I like most about your videos - and videos like these - is how you demonstrate 20+ exercises all in one video. I remember when I was starting out, I wanted to see videos on how to do various exercises I’d see in a program and I’d end go with 50 tabs open, some videos a minute long, some 10 minutes long, and it could get overwhelming. When I found your channel, it was such a relief to simply watch 3 20+ minute videos and become familiar with dozens of different exercises. I’d watch them on repeat for weeks, daily, and that was a great starting point before going into more detailed videos for specific movements. Great job as always!

This rack and the dumbbells really do seem to cover everything that you could ever ask for during strength training; you can do all sorts of effective exercises just with the barbell alone, and then you have the pull-up bar for pull-ups, and the dumbbells for various more targeted exercises.

This is a legit routine, provided your goals and individual limitations permit you to follow it. What one has to understand is that this is a general bodybuilding program with elements that also suit people interested in strength training. The volume in this program is not conducive to optimal strength results, so it has a big bias towards hypertrophic goals. Strength athletes do benefit from high volume phases too, so I'd still do something like this even if my goal was pure strength progression, as the exercise selection fits general strength training extremely well. You could, basically, transform this into a strength routine by replacing one set per exercise with a heavy RPE7-9 single. A lot of advanced lifters shun splits like this, because they all start preaching for minimalist approaches at some point in their lifting careers. Minimalist programs, like very basic full body approaches, ARE effective, but a push-pull split can be just as good for absolutely anyone regardless of their level of lifting experience/strength. It all just boils down to frequency in the end. With a push-pull program you usually do 4-6 workouts a week, but with a full body program you do 2-4. That's it. I've been in the fitness scene for about 10 years now, I'm an advanced lifter (~3 plate bench, ~5 plate deadlift/squat and so on) and I've always done my best to try and learn new information pertaining to gym training and progression. I just want to give a thumbs up to this routine, and I want to squash anyone's doubts regarding the efficacy of approaches like this. I think the exercise selection is intelligent and efficient while covering all bases, and your commentary and tips were sound. My only critique is that this routine has a very demanding amount of volume. You have about 15-21 sets of everything every week, and with 10 reps in every set. This type of volume is rarely tolerated by anyone unless you've specifically trained to tolerate it. This program would completely crush your basic powerlifter, as they just couldn't handle this type of volume -- in my personal experience, at least. I personally find I make the best progress with about 8-12 sets per week. For most people, I'd recommend to just cut 1 set from each exercise, but if you're an advanced bodybuilder or have some sort of an endurance background, feel free to follow it to a tee.

Hi buff dudes great videos need some advice I created my own full body plan hopefully you guys or someone experienced on here can tell me if its optimal? Monday strength focus: squat 5x5, deadlift 5x5, bench press 5x5, overhead press 5x5, Pull ups 4x10, Farmers walk. Wednesday hypertrophy focus: Squat 4x10, bentover row 5x5, bench press 4x10, overhead press 4x10, chin ups 4x10, Dips 4x10, Friday Strength focus: squat 5x5, deadlift 5x5, bench press 5x5, overhead press 5x5, pull ups 4x10, Farmers walk. And then next week alternate it other way round on Monday hypertrophy focus, strength Wednesday, hypertrophy Friday? Also as you can see every thing is strictly compound exercises the important lifts stick to the basics I find it easier but still challenge myself for the gains. Maybe I could add couple of isolations as I progress? Anyway let me know what you think hopefully this works providing my sleep and diet is right.

Suitcase carry is unilateral so only working one side at a time, and if you throw a few more rep in on your weaker side of your body you can help even out embalances.. Farmers walks are bilateral and help to build over all grip strength, and many other benefits for different muscle groups. Stay strong 💪 ✨️
