With golden + 2 normal batty every spell is 4 eats, and driver is net 2 for 5 eats - I guess jeef didn't think that was good enough.

he had 3-4 demons on board for most of them, and Batty is giving double stats when it eats from spells. If his board was full of demons and he wasn't getting double stats from playing 1-2 cost spells that also have their own effects on top of eat, then yeah, driver would then be worth the net 2 gold.
