the story aged quite well, maybe some of Zelos attitude is... questionable but besides that, his backgroundstory and the themes in this game hold up majesticly!

Worth noting that Mithos is using these illusions to foist the voices of his own trauma onto figures in the party's respective pasts that would inflict the most PTSD speaking them. All of these heinous words are either how he has been treated by the world or how his own conscience is weighing on him for his atrocities. Mithos may have styled his fortress as Heaven itself, but both justly and unjustly, his own mind has been fashioned into a personalized Hell.

definitly. Hence why Mithos loses power when the three figurine bosses are defeated, because he used those shadows of his past as a shield, literally. Kind of a shame that no other Tales of game had this kinda clever symbolic incooperation.

The scene with Kratos and Sheena makes more sense with Zelos in it instead of Kratos. As if Llyod would suddenly be on board with Mithos' crazy ideals after everything that's happened.

@@mythirlmaiden personally I think the illusions wernt ment to trick them. I think it's more to play to there insecurities and make them feel the pain that mithos does. For Kratos specifically, he lived 4000 years so nothing will really get to him except thinking that the choice he made to betray Mithos has cost him not only his 4000 year friendship with mithos but also now his son. Leaving him well and truly alone
