@@SingingSealRiana well, yeah. Power would do that to you. Now, it's kinda a low blow to compare Giles' dark side to Willow's. Willow is afraid of herself, Giles on the other hand has control over his actions when it comes to dealing with unnatural forces. Willow is always sort of like "I'm afraid to use my power, or do anything bad, I might turn evil". While Giles straight up murdered a man and was like "it had to be done". It's actually my favourite scene with him. The man just does what needs to be done, morality and legality aside, but he, we could say hypocritically, guides others so that they wouldn't stray from their morality.

@@nickknife9681 I reather ment his earlyer stints when he still had magic and was high on it compare to her going all vengence godess trying to end the whole world over her broken heart . . . it is fairly comparable I think. He got the time and experience to no longer go there while she is way younger and less experiences so obviousy she is not at the same point at the same time. Him killing someone cause it needed to be done is actualy one of his best monents,he does it so buffy woud not need to and it had nothing to do with magic and how it can impair your judgment! he was not ripper there, he was purely giles willingly walking into hell to spare buffy the pain and guilt. It is not so much hypocritical, he already fell so low in his youth, he warns willow from exprience while she just would not lissten and he is already sure he is a bad guy, more bood ion his hands do not make a difference, but would make a world of a difference on Buffy or willows. Also, sometimes willow was afraid, but he warned her so offten and she just willfuly ignored the signs of danger, she was so arrogant in the face of reviveing Buffy with no clue in the world of what she done . . . she really has no moral highround when it comes to makeing bad decissions and inact teribble things under the influence of magic. He stoped with the magic cause he never again trusted himself with it and only started again to protect buffy and willow from willow herself

That entire scene in Dopplegangland where Willow tries to pass herself off as VampWillow had me laughing so hard I was crying. And the expression on Oz's face when she does the little wave to him almost had me crying anyway. Don't get me wrong, I shipped the hell out of Willow and Tara, but the Willow / Oz scenes are great too. I don't think Willow being with a girl after they broke up takes from that relationship at all.

Yeah I think if the show was made today Willow would be bi, since that means her relationship with Oz was still 'valid' I guess (Plus all that stuff with Xander) However, I accept that having a female bi character at that time would definitely play into the 'lesbianism is just a phase' attitude at the time. Also, I mean we're talking early 2000s - Having a gay character was the epitome of progressive so we can't really expect them to have done much more.
