Da irrst du, zumindest was die ehemalige DDR betrifft. Der Film lief tatsächlich auch bei uns und hier im Osten kannte ihn in den 70ern jeder Jugendliche! Gemeinsam mit "Grenzpunkt Null" ("Vanishing Point") einer der Kultfilme meiner Jugend. 🤩

back in the early 2000's I couldn't find a copy of that song so I just recorded it from TNT when they were showing the Strawberry Statement. I still have the file and listen to it from time to time.

ich bin ein Ossi und der Film Blutige Erdbeeren hat mich bis heute fest im Griff. Es war bei uns in Frankenberg/Sachsen das erste mal das wir so Musik ganz öffentlich hören konnten. Auf unseren Recordern hatten wir natürlich alles so was. Danke für das Einstellen.

I think Joni's is the more subtle, toned down version. Frankly, although I like Buffy, I like Joni's version better.
