I love the way that this show built Spike's character - first just the baddie of the week, then the return, the set-up as evil but devoted to Drusila. Etc., etc., then his origin story, alteration to allow more interaction with the scoobies, and finally the transformation. The show took a basic Billy Idol vampire enemy and turned him into a character with the best insight into love and did it in a way that was totally believable within the universe of the show and how that universe maps to our reality.

Yep Buffy is one of the greatest pieces of media I've ever watched. I've rewatched the series a lot the past two decades

When spike talks about how Buffy and Angel will never be friends the way he phrases it all.. well even as a soulless vampire Spike is both a hopeless romantic and a bit poetic.

I love the pause halfway through the compilation to go back and actually count how many times Giles has been knocked out...such commitment should be acknowledged!

Thank you! Hahaha I enjoyed that part as well. Although I shutter to think of actually finding all the knockouts for the whole series, lol - this was just up until this point, which was still a lot!

Several things: Cordelia rocks that green dress. Xander is such a moral coward. Giles and Joyce were too pure for this world. Buffy's taste in men will continue to suck for this season.

Making my Bangel edits for season 3, and I realized I did not include "and Mr Sanderson from the bank had it coming" in this compilation, which is a crime because it's a great line, and it also won't be in the Bangel video, so I guess I'm just needing to acknowledge it here and now, lol

@@myladynoir00 Wow. You know, even though I just left this comment a couple days ago, this morning I sat on my butt and watched four episodes of BTVS on COMET. They were the "Dark Willow" Eps, from the one where Warren puts a hole in Tara's blouse all the way to where our boy Xander saves the world by talking Wil down from the mountain she's built for herself. Then watching this clip here again with sweet innocent apprentice witch Willow. It was a bit jarring to say the least.
