I was never a big fan of Jay Leno as a t.v. show host and I've never really been a car enthusiast, but watching these videos have made me appreciate both a lot more. Seeing this guy's passion for the history and restoration of these vehicles makes me want to learn more about cars myself. 300 000$ for a clearcoat, i personally love the look of carbon fiber. and the weave from panel to panel matches. by that i mean it transitions almost like it was seamless. which on it's own is very time consuming and for a car to be painted they wouldn't bother puting in that effort.

I prefer the sound of a V10, so that automatically means I'd like the sound of something like... a Viper over this. And to be fair, sure, the Veyron is basically a luxury car and it'd be a nicer place to sit, but imagine trying to get the tires for it. And then imagine how much you'd spend a week on gas. I think they'd rather have the Supra or GTR for more practical reasons (providing they don't plan on building rice rockets.).

originally the "W" shaped engines had 3 banks of cylinders. the W16 that bugatti uses today is not really a W, it is 2 V's at 60° connecteed by the vertex.

Yes, but those are one off vintage cars that weren't that expensive when new whereas this is a production car and each one costs that much new.

It's that expensive because they have to align the fiber weave from panel to panel, which is almost impossible to do. Otherwise it would like an 6 year old built it. .

A while back I saw a guy driving one of these, and, or similar model on the highway in Denver Co in heavy traffic, and I think that it was winter. Salt, rocks, gravel, ice slicer etc etc. A great place for a car like this. He was obviously trying to avoid potential hazards. Kind of funny.

One thing that Jay didnt pickup on and stress wich i think is really cool is if you have a 2006 and u take it to the dealer or i should say when u take it in they upgrade the technology to there new one so its a 2006 with the same stuff as the 2012 thats pretty cool and im sure pretty expensive thanks Jay

I didn't get that impression at all with Jay's attitude towards Jens - seemed more relieved to be talking to someone more on his wavelength. The marketing director seemed "bothered" to have to answer any remotely useful question.
