For me is the best, you have overdrive and distortion sound. I love this pedal.

I'd love to know your secret. I LOVE the OD side of this pedal but setting it anywhere past 11 o'clock and especially pegging it as a DS only pedal I just can't take it. Maybe I got a faulty unit and didn't know enough when I bought it that the DS circuit was messed up. But that has to be what happened because I can't use it at all on side of it.

I have owned the TO100 and the PB100 for a few years now. Behringer really makes some great gear. The other guitarist in my band has a few of their pedals as well. We have never had a problem with any of our Behringer gear. The sound is as good as any of the more expensive gear. I have heard people complain that they are made of plastic, but I have been using mine for 5 years now and they still look new.

These pedals look great for beginners or hobbyists. However they are made out of plastic right? So if you go do gigs and stuff they'll probably break.
@nowherebrain6 жыл бұрын
@@darthporkius ...really...I've never used too many pedals for actual playing(like at a club etc)but I do not see how being plastic would be much of a problem....my foot switch for my marshal is plastic(origional jcm 800) and it has never been a problem....still it was an after market pedal(made of plastic)..no issues...you step on them...not stomp...regardless of the term "stomp boxes"....my assumption is...you don't have a lot of experience...most damage comes from travel, not performance.
@darthporkius6 жыл бұрын
@@nowherebrain you're right I have little experience playing. In fact I just bought my first pedal about a month ago. ( Nux high gain) But I do go to rock bars and every now and then there is always a drunk fool getting on stage and stepping on stuff. Not even the metal case pedals are safe from drunk guys.

you can get a heavy sound on this pedal (maybe heavier than even HM300) by using the distortion setting and adding a separate overdrive pedal like the PO300.

@69Orlok Behringer makes an overdrive especifically for bass. You may use this with a bass, but since it's a guitar effect you'll likely lose your low end and/or get a subpar tone. You'd be better off with the Bass Overdrive they make.

So is this the OD100? If so what is the difference with the OD300 which looks identical? Does anyone know of a straight distortion pedal that Behrenger offers that is playable because this one cranked all the way over on the DS setting is not in my opinion. I bought the OD300 when I picked up guitar again for the 1st time in 20 years trying to kill 2 birds with one stone since I was broke because I had 3 (now 2 kids in college). To be very clear from the top I'm not a gear snob and understand enough to know 350 true bypass pedals chained up will destroy whatever it is those TB nuts claim to get out of only buying them. I liked the OD side of it enough that I've still got it on my Shifordaboard to this day. Which I honestly still like to break out from time to time for some fun nostalgia but found it's really only serviceable as a boost or set at 11 o'clock or less on the OD setting only if you intend to use any gain at all. Putting a Maxon TS in front of it results in the same problem of it devolving into something worse than mud. If I knew then what i know now I'd have just got their TO800 model which is truly a good pedal. Or maybe a straight distortion pedal from them although I've got very minimal knowledge in how pedal circuits work so perhaps I'd have just got a plastic paperweight without the usable OD option had I gone that route. Sorry for the long post on an old thread but maybe someone can give me a few tips. Enjoyed your demo though and subbed to see what other nice vids you've got out there.

Guitarrist, bass player here... I got this pedal hoping to use it with my Ibanez guitar and also my Ibanez bass guitar, awesome for the guitar both as OD and as distortion, but for bass it really cuts a lot of low end, so no, circuit for Bass ODs is a little different and specific for it. You can use this with your bass and you won't harm anything, but the sound will change for bad.

@nowherebrain6 жыл бұрын
so technically you can daisy chain two of them, first OD, second with distortion...to create a somewhat signature lead sound...or just heavy crunchy sound..??? if I understand corectly...please respond.
@jfiery4 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old thread so maybe you've got your answer but to me nothing can be done with the DS side of this pedal. Maybe Behrenger has a straight distortion pedal using a different circuit but after over a year of trying it with everything from other cheap pedals to legit Ibanez and JHS stuff I've never found a tone I could stand with it set as a distortion pedal.

These behringer pedals are copies right? They are dirt cheap.. does this mean they are built with inferior components or just do not cut it when it comes to lets say.. a boss pedal?
@stf93689 жыл бұрын
+Za7a7aZ Behringer pedal starts from 20€ and go up to 60€, averagely. A 40€ Behringer pedal gives you the same quality as a 70€ Boss, because when you buy Boss you don't buy quality, you buy a brand and a metal cover (little fact: industrial metal is way cheaper than good plastic, but people think otherwise). I bought three Behringer pedal, and, especially the RM600 (which is astonishing for its price), they're all worth every single cent. I would never buy a Boss: if I had necessity of a semi-professional or professional pedal, I'd buy other brands...
