Bugibba is a tourist hotspot without any Maltese flair. Just modern faceless buildings. If you want to experience the real Malta, you should book a hotel in Sliema, St Julians or Valletta and walk down the back streets.

My late parents were Maltese. My mother had some photos of Buggiba in the early 70s. As you say just a number of small buildings. Can't believe the changes. But still love Buggiba and everything about Malta.
