Very pretty bracelet--it's amazing to me just how different a design can appear depending on what beads you choose. Love the Superduo Duets-they make it look like an entirely different design. Thanks, Gina, for sharing this with us....and, now, I have to go shopping...

Thank you! I totally agree - I love the way it looks with the duets, especially. Makes it much more intricate looking just due to the fact the beads are two-tone. 💜

@@ORCHIDandOPAL Hey Gina-I just wanted to tell you, I did give this pattern a try--my results are not near as beautiful as yours!! My Bad--I know now, I really goofed up my tension, so what I ended up with is a very contorted, wavy lookin' "thing". I really thought, as I continued to stitch, it would straighten itself out. HaHa, boy was I wrong! And even though I thought I had determined the length I needed, I also bombed on that--I think I was having a bad karma day. Anyway, it was fun to bead and easy to follow your video soooo...I'm going to dismantle it and try again.

This gives me some ideas to use with my bugle beads, as I do not have the prongs or that amount of Super Duos. I definitely liked the way the seed beads and the protector fit in on the end-I didn't realize I could use it that way! I will try some other beads...Thank you for the tutorial!

This is so cute! I definitely see little safety pins when I look at it too! I prefer using one needle, although I will take your advice and try a two needle pattern at some point, but that’s really kind of you to offer to do it. Thank you for sharing! 💜

I was thinking of how you were just asking me about the 2 needle method. I used to dislike using two needles a whole-lot more, but I have found it is like anything, the more you do it, the more you get used to it. Sometimes it really is more efficient, but it's most important to bead in a way that is most enjoyable - esp. if the result ends up basically the same. 💜

I absolutely love this, yay, now I can play with my bugle beads. Gina, I love 2 needle projects and I think if you showed a couple of tutorials using 2 needles that it would really help people not be so scared of them. Using 2 needles for this is just 1sb on each needle and criss cross through the bugle correct? Also, do you think that gekko beads could be used in place of the prong beads. That's 1 bead that I actually don't own. Thanks 😊

I'm so glad to hear it, Lynn! You're absolutely right, and I have a two needle tutorial probably coming in the next month, or so. I know not everyone will be happy about it, but it's important to see that there are different ways to do things. Like anything, the more you do it, the easier it gets. You are correct for this - two needles criss-crossing through the bugles in the beginning to get through the right-angle weave, then doing each side with it's own needle/thread, basically. I really do think the gekkos would work in place of the prong beads (without looking directly at them at the moment). I should also try it - thanks for mentioning it! 💜

Is that a regular sewing needle
@ORCHIDandOPAL
@ORCHIDandOPAL 4 жыл бұрын
It's actually a beading needle, so the eye is just about the same size as the rest of the needle. Also thin enough to go through the small holes of the beads. 💜

Hi Tiffany, to start I would suggest researching the website called Etsy, where you can sell your crafts online. If you want to sell locally, I would start by searching for local craft fairs in your community that you can sign up to participate in. Hope that helps!
