*ahem* 🌸 ~ chapter 1 ~ 🌸 hehe na OHH MY GOD ok first of all this sounds like the typa song that would get 30 yo people going through a midlife crisis in the comment section typin stuff like “mannn they don’t make games like this anymore… thank you ___ for making my childhood” LIKE IT SOUNDS SO JUST FUCKIN HAPPY AND SILLY GOOFY TIME I think it’s scientifically impossible to listen to this without smiling or giggling The beginning is CLASSIC SOX so rhythmically interesting and unique in a way where every instrument plays at different times but when together they all melt into this consistent flow and it’s just MMMMM I’ve said it before that’s your musical signature bro THE BUNGER DROP with the synth melody in the back like oh my god “it makes me happy” sounds is such a surface level compliment but I dunno how else to word it it just speaks to the inner child yknow THE KEY CHANGE IS GREATTTT comin after the happy chorus kinda spooks you a bit ESPECIALLY with that rising sound building up to it making you expect sumn else like making a key change a surprise is definitely the way to do it and that’s perfect WHEN THE WHISTLES COME IN AND THE CLACKY PERCUSSION IT REMINDS ME OF A PIRATE SHANTY and it fits so well for the “scary” part to also be a lil goofy AND THE DRUMROLL INTO THE STEEDRUMS I EAT THAT Bunger leads into the pause drop so well it was either intentional from the beginning or a complete accident trust me I’ve been there AGAIN THE RYTHM OF THE STEELDRUMS AND XYLOPHONE AGAIN AGAIN IT JUST MAKES ME HAPPY AND THE SPRINGS AND SYTHNS COMING BACK IN IT FEELS NICE TO YOUR EARS 3:29 - 4:04 is my favorite part of the song the notes are so WEIRD and FUN it has such a unique flavor (haha get it food) like they’re sour-ish (haha get it food) notes and I LOVEVEEE that in songs it adds the perfect amount of weirdness and spice (haha ge-) it’s amazing AND YOU KNOW IM A SUCKER FOR BEAT BREAKDOWNS I AGGRESSIVELY TWERK AT THIS PART EVERY TIME AND KERO KERO COMIN IN IS JUST THE PERFECT CHEERY ON TOP I JUST AAAAA I wanna forget I ever heard this song (which is impossible cuz it’s so catchy hehe) BUT I WANNA FORGET IT just to play bugsnax so I can become a fan and THEN listen to this song for the first time because it was CLEARY made with a lot of love and skill that I feel would make any bugsnax fan nostalgically happy :) Worth the wait, you fukin killed it

Ok imma go paragraph by paragraph bc hsdlskdslk 1. I SEE WHAT YOU MEAN bugsnax was such a one-of-a-kind game. Like its basically a body horror thriller, mixed with fun food bugs kids games elements its amazing. this game is amazing. 2: you know it >:) 3) I was super iffy about having those sampled vocals in the song since I thought originally they really didn't work, but after adding in the "Kweeble x Bunger love song duet" moment at the 2nd beatdrop I NEW I had to keep em. 4> like I was saying, the game does get genuinely creepy sometimes and I at some point while making a second verse, I accidentally wrote the bass line in the minor key.... and it was perfect. there's a version in the dev server with that second section in the major key and IT SOUNDS SO CURSED NOW I should send it to you lmfao #5 the whistling was added super last minute, but I've heard from a lot of ppl its their favorite part, so I'm glad it worked out haha 6* intentional as possible [7] I am so glad I actually managed to fit the steel drums in I love them so much 8. 3:29 - 4:04 is the part of the song I feel I slept on the most. at first I was notttt a fan of the WACK ASS chords there, but after adding in that electric organ (like very late) I realized it was the PERFECTTTT build up for the lyrics part of the song 9) "the perfect cheery on top" you- you- wow I shoulda made that joke lmfao. fr tho adding in Kero Kero was like- a joke.. and then I never muted the track. SO ITS JUST IN THE SONG NOW AND IT WORKS WAY BETTER THAN I THOUGHT LMAO I FUCKIN LOVE THIS GAME 10: Tysm, you're the best
