This holds weight. You put any other UK grime artist/rapper on a cover of one of the greatest and emotional hip hop songs of all time and see if they get anywhere near as good as this.
@tompeel60686 жыл бұрын
Completely disagree. Not a bad effort but Kano, ghetts, wretch (just off the top of my head) would all have taken this way further than bugzy, all proper lyricists who understand the music to the fullest. To suggest no other uk artist could compete with an average cover of a brilliant song does the scene an injustice imo.
@benlynch30986 жыл бұрын
Nah those man have respect for what they've done for the scene same for old the other top boys Wiley Skepta JME Lethal etc and the over decade time period they've been doing it. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of all and know almost all their work, but Bugzy can make MUSIC they can't. On a emotional scale, course Bugzy gets beaten in other areas, but when it comes to emotion and really feeling the music, Bugzy is King.
@zlock976 жыл бұрын
Ben L your mad? wretch and devlin to name 2 went mainstream and the heart and emotion that goes into thier lyricism and word play is 2nd to none! this isnt ghetts style but hed smash it on a different vibe!
@benlynch30986 жыл бұрын
Zak Lock name the most emotional Wretch and Devlin songs
@tompeel60686 жыл бұрын
+Ben L the very fact that you're comparing the three I mentioned to Wiley skepta jme and especially lethal b helps indicate where you're wrong. Those guys don't come close to the lyrical ability of Kano or most of the movement (should probably have mentioned devlin before tbh) nor have they put out anything as musically impressive/well rounded as made in the manor or ghetto gospel for example. I mentioned them in particular due to their musical abilities, not just cause they're vets. Bugzy definitely hasn't put out anything on that level. Agree that his strong point is storytelling, but he's nowhere near wretch in that respect, nor Kane in terms of emotion, and none of the three in terms of wordplay, especially GH who's way more musical than he's given credit for. have no problems with bugzy, he's definitely got some talent and not tryna put him down at all, but to claim he's better than people with so much more lyrical/musical ability than him just seems a bit mad imo
@gurdebsingh2226 жыл бұрын
This some real shit. Not many people could pull of a Eminem classic. Bugzy nailed it. #batmanting
@DDB-916 жыл бұрын
michael singh - he did well but he didn't nail it, no British mc should even attempt to cover an Em track, I'm not major Em fan but ain't an mc from England come close to how intelligent, lyrical and rhythmical Em is. Everyone hates on Em for selling out, but who wouldn't really in the end only a handful don't, but when it comes crunch time ain't mc in the world that could produce a better diss track.
@whome48246 жыл бұрын
Hench Muscle shut up he killed it you just can't relate...
@DDB-916 жыл бұрын
who me - can't relate? How do you know I can't relate to it? I can relate to taylor swifts - never getting back together but that doesn't mean I think it's a good song. Bugs is ok, but his lyrics are very basic his rhyming scheme is very basic also. He has good stage presence that's what I like about him. For people to compare him to Em is silly.

Initially, I cringed at the thought of a grime MC covering this song, but this is incredible. Bugzy is a very talented artist and I think Eminem would be impressed. I love grime, but I don't think many grime/ british rap artists could pull that off. Perhaps Stormzy could...and maybe Prof Green... but that is just my opinion.

what a legend! just proves to the Americans that the grime scene can do it too! big up bugz 💯
@DDB-916 жыл бұрын
Cadan Lawry - grime scene can do what exactly? I'm from Sheffield, I love grime and think the UK has come forward so much but, to compete with the US, nah not happening. The US produce mcs ten fold the quality of the mcs in the uk. Name the last British mc to make it into any top 5 or even top 10 mc list (a list with any actual recognition) it's never happened.
@cadanlawry45196 жыл бұрын
haven't you seen the 2014 culture clash when A$AP mob got their ass handed to themselves by BBK? so tell me how the UK can't compete with the US?
@DDB-916 жыл бұрын
Seth Rollins - wow, you clearly know nothing about American rap lol. I'm not talking about lil Wayne, lil uzi, drake or rick Ross, none of them idiots, im talking about real hip hop. I'm talking about Nas, Big L, Pun, Hopsin, Pharoah Monch, Canibus, Tech n9ne, jadakiss, Andre 3000, karupt, moss deff, common, mobb deep, cube you know them dudes who are true Mc's. Name 1, just 1 mc from England who could even compare to Nas? Seriously, which English mc has the lyrical integrity, the flow, the rhyming scheme, the play, the story telling and the delivery that Nas has? There's a reason he is known as the greatest mc ever, period. Every mc I have on that list are light years ahead of any mc from the uk and most on that list don't even put out tracks no more and they are still light years ahead. Only mcs from the uk that can be classed as legitimate mcs, that cover everything to be classed as a true mc, lyrics delivery flow wordplay etc is GH, devs and akala .. literally that is it. It is beyond stupid to think that the uk has produced better mcs than the U.K. Lol. Name 1 mc from the U.K. That could clash em? Could clash canibus? Could clash Phaorah Monch? Could clash jay electronica? Could clash common? Hopsin? And win? None all mcs from the U.K. Would get eaten. I'm not denying U.K. Grime, rap /mcs are good, there's a select few artist that I rate, Kano, akala, devs and gh. That are the best in the U.K. Without fail, and akala tops that list easily. Akala is the definition of an mc, dude is beyond intelligent behind a mic and is probably the guy is pick to represent uk mcs. But most of you lot won't rate akala because most U.K. Dudes wanna here shit like stormzy and them idiots. You say Americans talk about money cars and women, uk do the EXACT same thing, but they just think they are gangster, when the mcs I listed talked about guns and murder, they genuinely lived that life not like these British mcs that have most probably never seen a gun. I'm not arguing with you, opinions are exactly that, opinions. Mine is mine yours is yours. Neither of us are right neeither of us wrong.
@DDB-916 жыл бұрын
Seth Rollins - forgot to mention, I respect your comment and do to a large degree, agree with what you said. 99% of American rap/hip hop is fucking trash, without a doubt lol.

The original is a song that will go down in history, but this is the closest to the best that will ever be made. An inspiration, and a world class artist. Hats off to you Bugz, you've proved your in the next league with this one

[VERCE 1] Yo bugz, I hit you up on snap, but you are not replying, I even sent you videos of both my sisters crying, listening to your song the one you call Pain I went and got a tattoo about learning to dance in the ring, and I watch documentaries on serial killers too like you said .... so I never find it strange. My girlfriend tells me that I think I'm black because I rap, but I just wanna be like you and rap about back in the days. I was fuming when I heard they sent your cousin back and when he got there he had an accident and passed away, see I lost a cousin too but I lost mine because of drugs and it weren't an accident he overdosed of cocaine, I sold him the drugs only coz I listened to you, I want the car, super bike, bracelet and the chain. Sometimes I feel guilty but I think if bugzy done it then it means that I can. You think it's fun that this is done. NA [VERCE 2] Yo bugz you still ain't tweeted back I really hope you seen it, I'm buying tickets to all of your concerts.And I mean it. I'm doing well now my Nokia is always ringing, I've had a couple fights and my knuckles are always stinging. I was brought up always seeing domestic violence like you did, I seen my mommy getting beat up too and I was just a kid, and I would run away, sometimes I would slit my wrist but now I just ignorance the pain coz you said ignorance is bliss, but why ignore it fam I know every song you've ever wrote, I love it when you do a freestyle just standing on the road, I listen to your mixtape back when you couldn't trust a soul and I believe you when you said you seen a daemon or a ghost coz you say it how it is and I believe it, my girlfriend tells me I should get a job but I don't need it, I just need some silence in my room so I can listen to your tunes we are gonna chill together soon I can just feel it, anyway I got some good news my girlfriends pregnant, I'm gonna call him bugzy so he's named after a legend we need to link up so I can bring you there presents I brought them to your show on September the 11th, but it's like you wouldn't look me in the eye I kept in shouting, I was in the front row climbing up the railing I waited afterwords for 3 long hours it was raining, but you already left coz on your snapchat you was training, please shout me back. [THIRD VERSE] Yo mr bugzy "I'm too bad to message fans" I just wanted you to know I got ... couple gran and 10 zeds, which means that I'm lucky..... maybe 10, well that's what the solicitor said forget the fedz just know that I don't really care if you don't message back I just think that that's not really fair, but you have never been real G I'm seeing thinks clear, and I don't know if it's the drugs I've taken but I feel weird, I had an argument with my Miss I've never hit a girl but she couldn't understand the you was the main thing in my world, I didn't mean it man, I endear kicking her down the stairs, she said the baby stopped moving and then bursted into tears. Now she's laying in the booth knocked aff we could have been like family but you messed up nahh, and I'm sitting here sending you these videos on snap but you never open them it's like you stab me In the back. I'm not supposed to drive I'm on a ban but I've been drinking this...and now I'm doing 120 and I can hardly see the road, wait is that the police? I can see some blue lights, would you just be quiet?? I will drive off the side, common bugz all I ever want was a reply, you knew you was my isle, I swore you was the guy, how would you feel if it was your fault that I died, wait the police are getting closer let me concentrate I'm too young to die. [LAST VERSE] Yo fam I'm sorry that I haven't seen your tweets, I've been doing shows, videos, I'm rushed off my feet, I get thousands of snapchats everyday, and I'm not being ignorant I always send replies out when I'm free, now I didn't watch every single video you sent coz there was loads I must have watched a good 20%, the tattoo's cold, it really pulled my heart string when I seen your sisters cry, without people like you none of my music would have sold, you said you girls having a boy I wish you all the best of luck I always thought I'd be a good dad from what I seen growing up, I wanted to be different coz my dad was a prick I could never hit a woman I think all that's twisted, I don't know the past tears but you should never slit your wrist, you don't have to be black to rap just look at slim shady what happened to your cousin is crazy, I don't think you should be selling drugs now you are having a baby, I can't believe I didn't see you at the show, I wouldn't have been able to jump..... I been watching videos on Instagram about a boy that took a change, lost control and the car span. In the back they found they found the girl she was pregnant with a kid, and in the car they found the phone and what they found on that was mad coz it turns out he'd recorded the whole thing on his snap, what a fool and to think about it tho his name was, it was you. Soz guys for the blank bits, I did what I could.

Wazza FC You can’t even spell “they’re” right. If you’re gonna defend someone with their spelling, the least you could do is spell words right. Utter melt.
